Dipper woke up in a cold sweat, not use to the stuffy air inside the shack. He sat up and noticed that his feet were out past his blanket and groaned, not sure if he's going to make it this summer.

He climbed out of bed, quiet not to wake up Mabel, and glanced out the window. The sky was getting brighter, but the sun was not yet out. The clock said 5:36 a.m.

That was way too early for his taste.

But, since his bed was too uncomfortable and he couldn't go back to sleep, he decided to sneak downstairs and get himself a cup of coffee.

With each step on the stairs, he remembered the pattern for not letting them creak, and he finally made it down to the kitchen soundlessly. He walked over to the coffee machine and started it up, putting everything needed into the machine. He then opened the fridge for creamer, closed it, waited for a bit, then began to pour himself a cup of the steaming, hot drink.

"Goodmorning." Dipper jumped, spilling the scolding liquid onto his hand and gasping, setting the coffee dispenser down and looking towards the source of the voice. He rubbed his burnt hand.

In the dim light he could make out a blonde ponytail and glasses in the walkway of the livingroom. "P-Pacifica?" he stuttered, narrowing his eyes. "Why are you up?"

"I could ask you the same thing." She stated, walking over to a lamp in the corner and turning it on.

Dipper sighed and put the creamer into his coffee. "I couldn't go back to sleep." He was surprised he wasn't being harsh to her. There really isn't any reason to be that way right now. He thought.

She began to giggle after he said that, and he turned around confused, coffee in hand. "What?" He asked.

"Nice boxers." She said inbetween giggles, glancing down at the rainbow unicorn underwear Dipper had on.

He must have forgot that he didn't put any clothes on after getting out of bed. Well, in his defense it's not like he expected Pacifica to be up, or anyone at this hour. He turned slightly pink and frowned. "I wasn't planning on staying out here for long." Irritation shined through his voice.

"Okay, Mr. Princess." She sat down at the table and layed down a book she had in her hands. It was an astrology guide. "This is what I've been doing for an hour or so this morning."

Dipper ignored the nickname and walked over to the table to look at the book, taking a sip of the coffee. "Where'd you get it from?" he asked, narrowing his eyes. He wanted to ask why the heck would she care about the patterns of the night sky, or maybe when the last time she read a book before was, but he settled with the nice guy question. Because that's just the type of guy Dipper is. A nice one.

Pacifica shrugged. "Picked it up at the library." She scrunched up her nose. "Almost had to wear a face mask, it reeked of nerd." She looked at Dipper. "A bit like you."

Dipper rolled his eyes and set his coffee down, then pulled the book over to him. It was small, so he knew it was only a hand guide, but it seemed to help understand what stars are and how people have mapped them. "Nice." He stated simply.

"Mmhmm" Pacifica said, opening up the book to a folded place and began to read again.

Dipper finished off his coffee, put it in the sink, and looked over at Pacifica, whom seemed to be looking at him. The two stared a bit at each other until Dipper cleared his throat and said "Im gonna.. Ya know." he pointed up the stairs, refering to getting dressed.

"Yeah, yeah, please do." She said, looking him over again, slightly shaking her head and reading.

He walked up the stairs quietly, confused. Did she blush a little when he left?

What happened over the night?

A/N

Sooooooo sorry for the long wait guys! I had been on a complete no-inspiration-to-write hiatus. But I am back now and rolling, at a slooooow pace. I don't want to get too burnt out at the beginning so I probably won't be keeping up with this on a schedule.

But tell me how the story went! Comment below your thoughts, opinions, and wonderful words of advice! I felt like the Dipcifica started up way too fast, but I dunno, any thoughts on that?

See ya in the comments and in future chapters! <3
