Her lashes felt heavy to her, the silence, the beep sound of the machines and the pack feeling of something on her mouth wasn't going well with her, with hardship she opened her eyes slowly slowly.
White walls and blank feelings, that's what she felt and saw, she was numb at the moment, pain wasn't the priority but the heaviness on her small delicate hands were concerning to her.
Flicking her eyes through the room, she turned her head slowly in her right direction and her furrowed brows calmed when her eyes fell on the man sitting beside her, his hand was placed right on her hand where she has done the mistake and then his head, how he was sleepy yet tried his best to open his eyes.
A small smile appeared on her lips but it disappeared when she saw his eyes on her, their eyes met and she froze when she noticed the blankness in his eyes, she thought he would react happily or at least give a scold but he kept quiet as he stared at her for more than two minutes.
"Water?", He asked her blankly and she could only nod at his question.
Moments later he helped her in sitting straight and then made her lean on the pillows he kept behind her for her support, after a small sip she shook her head in negative but his one glare on her and she drank the whole glass.
He pulled himself back and kept the water on the side table, he was back on his chair, her right hand still in his grip while she sat there clueless looking at him.
Five minutes passed and they didn't say anything, her eyes were moving back to back on the main door as she expected someone else to come and save her from his blank stares.
She gulped as she felt his thumb sliding over her injured hand and when he moved his thumb over her deep cut place, a small hiss left her lips.
She stared at him for some time but his blank look back at her made her emotional, he wasn't acting like the real Cassian.
"You aren't talking to me.", She stated as she bit on her lower lips, her eyes met his green eyes and when she thought she would receive a smile from him.
"Your intentions were to kill yourself after that I was going to be like this too, so why it matters to you?"
She felt as if someone squeezed her heart and left it with no blood, her whole body felt the goosebumps, his words were cold and she was feeling the coldness in every pore of her skin.
"Cassian -", She tried to call him but they were interrupted by a nurse.
They both stared at the nurse who came inside and gave an apologetic expression to Mariya.
Mariya's steps widened as she knew who the nurse was, before she could actually interrupt the nurse continued to talk.
"I apologise Miss Mariya, you were given wrong reports, it was Miss Marie who was pregnant and we informed you about it, you aren't pregnant but just taking stress for which-"
