「 ✦ CHAPTER ONE ✦ 」 the beginning of a wonderful life.
UNDER NEAR CONSENT COVER OF CLOUDS AND RAIN, there's a small town called Forks. That is where Bella, my sister, and i were moving. The reason being, my mom and her new boyfriend wanted to travel and my sister and I didn't. So, deciding on doing something without moving 24/7, weeks decided to move to Forks with our dad.
Walking out the airport, Our dad, Charlie, pulled up in his cop car. Bella and I looked at each other, knowing what we're both thinking, we race to the car, Bella getting there first. "Oh, come on! you can't be that fast. How do you always get the front seat?" I asked her with a attitude because of the fact she always gets it.
"I Don't Know, Ev. How do i?" Bella says taunting me about it. "Oh, Shut up, get in the car!" I told her opening the door handle. "Hey, Dad!" I told him getting in the car. "Hey, Hun!" He told me starting the car.
It was awkward the whole car ride because of the reason that Bella and Dad didn't talk much growing up after moving. She had stayed with Mom because she didn't like the weather much in Forks, it was either that or the fact that she never really had friends here besides me or jacob, though it was more me that was friends with jake growing up.
"Hey dad? Uhm, Are you still friends with Billy Black?" I asked him scared he'll say no, and i won't see jake again. "Yeah, I am. Speaking of you wanna say hey to Jake, Evelyn?" He asked me and my face light up. "Uhm, Yeah?!" I told him as he pulled up towards the house i remember from my younger years.
"Wow, Dad. House hasn't changed. Maybe you need something to decorate the outside." Lifting my bag i walked to the front door with Dad and Bella in tow. "Okay, Ev. Why do you help me decorate the porch, alright?" He asked laughing as he's opening the door, "Okay, Dad." I told him picking my bag i dropped on the ground and walked into the house.
Walking up the steps, i looked around. The floorplans were different since the last i was here. Bella's room was on one side and mine was on the other, while Dad's was across from ours. He was talking about the bathroom when i zoned back into what he was talking about. "Oh, Right. Only one bathroom." Bella said walking into her room.
"Wow, Dad. Good job picking the colors. Thank you." I told him hugging him for the first time since we arrived. I missed these hugs, i never really got them much growing up but when i did i cherished them. His hugs were always warm and comforting. Maybe that's why i liked being in Forks and with him, it was always so conforting.
"Your welcome, hun." honk honk. "Oh, i think i know who it is." He said walking out of my room and outside. Not knowing who it was, i walked to Bella's big window and looked outside. I could feel someone over my shoulder, turning around Bella was pearing outside. "Who is that?" She asked, once we finally got a clear view of the faces. "Jacob!" i screamed running outside. I slammed opened the door.
"Hey!" He said as i jumped to hug him. "I missed you!" i told him smiling into his shoulder. "Hey, your hair! When'd it get so long?" I asked in surprise as i didn't know jake could have this long of hair. "Huh, yeah. Guess i just never cut." He said as we let go of the hug and he looked over at Bella.
Jake had always had a crush on Bella, I always knew of this crush because everytime we would meet up he would always talk about how she looked pretty or how she changed her hair. It didn't really bother me since i never really listened to what he was saying since he said the same thing over and over.
"Well, what do ya think?" Dad asked towards us looking towards the two trucks in the driveway. "Of what?" Bella asked. "Both of your homecoming presents." He said hitting the red pickup. "Wait, These are ours?" I asked him looking towards the trucks. "Which is which?" Bella said jumping up, "Oh. My God!" She said getting in the red one, already knowing that she wanted the red one i go towards the blue and get inside.
"Wow." I said in Awe, Getting out i go towards Dad. "Thank you!" I said jumping into his arms for a hug. "Oh your welcome hun." He said. "Well, let's go watch the game." Dad said hitting Billy on the back. "Oh, i forgot. Hey billy!" I told him grabbing the bag from his hands.
