"Mom you okay?" Ren asked while cutting the wooden trunk into pieces. He stopped and looked at her who was looking at the forest in deep thoughts.
"Mother." Ren's voice made her slightly jump.
"Yes...yes. Tell me." She said.
"You've been zoning out all day. Is there anything concerning you?" He asked dropping the Axe and walking towards her.
"No. I'm perfectly fine." She said turning the page of the book she was holding.
"Mom. What is it? I can sense something's off. Your hormones are off charts." He said sitting on the chair beside her.
"What? Ahm... it...might be because...yes heat..blood moon is nearing. Might be beacause of that." She stuttered.
"We have two weeks till blood moon. Since you brought up the topic, i need to ask you something." He said.
"Go on." She said.
"Your heat cycles are getting worse mother. It's hard for me to watch you almost... dying. I want you to move on from the past and you know,.find someone." He said.
"Find someone? You want me to find someone? How? I'm confined within these wards. Or do you want me to find some Rogue?" She was genuinely baffled by his proposal.
"No. Definitely not. I had a talk with Eemo. She said she knows an Alpha who can help you and i trust her." He said.
"Aaren. Let's end this conversation here. You cannot bring in some random Alpha. Female heat doesn't work that way like males. We cannot sleep with anyone. My wolf will tear him apart in a second. Do you know why i don't remember any of my heat cycles? It's because i fully give up my human consciousness and she takes the control. I want her to make the choice. If she wants someone, she will find him no matter how bloody it gets." She said closing the book and walking towards the door.
"Have you stocked everything for the winter?" She asked.
"Almost everything. Do you want me to get anything for you?" He asked.
"Wolfsbane. Both yellow and blue." She said turning back and looking at him.
"We have enough." His eyebrows scrunched up.
"I'm taking in some yellow daily. It's been keeping snow calm. I need more." She said and turned back.
"But mom..." Before he could ask she disappeared into the hall.

"Princess, you okay? You seem tired." He asked.
"I'm fine. It's just the climate." She said looking at the pile of melting snow which fell in the morning.
"I don't need my powers to catch you lying." He said and held her shoulders to turn her to face him.
"What're you doing? Trying to sneak into my memories?" She asked.
"I will not do it without your consent. It's too hard to ignore the rising scent of wolfsbane in your blood day by day." He said in a monotone voice.
"You're mistaken. I'm a witch and i work with potions. I use wolfsbane to make some. Its scent will be in my clothes and hands." She looked away from him. His hold on her shoulders tightened.
"Why are you intaking Wolfsbane? Do you fear me?" He asked.
"What? No! I'm not afraid of you" She looked at him.
"So you agree that you intake Wolfsbane." He said.
"I need to go. It's getting colder." She mumbled.
He took off his jacket and covered her and pulled her closer to him.
