Jiang Wanyin opened his eyes and immidiatly jolted up from where he lay on the ground, looking around to check his surroundings remembering he had suddenly fainted after hearing about Jin Zixuan's death at Qiongi path.

After looking around he saw multiple other people that had been near him before the accident, but he also realised this wierd place where he found himself was somewhat familiar.

After walking around the group of people, who were half fainted and half waking up, he eventually managed to recognise the place - it was the small village built on the burial mounds for the Wen sect cultivators Wei Wuxian had saved.

As the name Wei Wuxian crossed bis mind, everything came crashing down.

Wanyin wanted to sprint to the demon slaughtering cave immidiatly, but he needed to find his sister first and make sure she was fine and not alone before confronting the older man. Her husband’s death was already a heavy blow, on their son's first month most of all. But whatever was happenijg now.. he needed to find her and be next to her no matter what.

Just then he heard a child cry, his ears perked up as he tried to pick where the sound came from, the now completely awake crowd making it all the more harder as they disorientedly moved about.

"Where are we..?" He heard someone ask out lout as the Wen farmers, now wearing dull shades of browns and greys, gathered into a huddled group. A child crying loudly within the group, his hope immidiatly demeaning as his anxiety grew realising the sound wasn't Jin Ling.

"The burial mounds" he heard another voice reply, tha dry and straightforward tone could only be one person - Lan Wangji.

Walking toward where the older man's voice came from he caught a glimpse of a woman in golden robes, his older sister.

Immidiatly relief washed over him as he called for the older girl, ignoring the hateful words being passed around the crowd. "Jie!" He called and the older looked up at him, she didn't smile, but it was clear that relief had also reached her when their gazes met.

Beside Jiang Yanli, there was a small group away from the main crowd; Madam Jin, the twin jades and their uncle, as well as a few maidens from the Jin clan and now himself.

Jin Guanghsan was giving a speech of some sort to the other cultivators there present, as Nie Huaisang and his brother aproached them soon after Wanyin arrived.

The Jin sect leader spoke about his son, his voice did not sound emotional at all despite this. Next to him stood Jin Guanyao, his face expressionless as he stood unmovingly next to his father as all the cultivators previously present on the Jin sect's Jinyue hall cheered for whatever speech he gave.

Nie Mingjue and his brother reached the group that stood silently as Madam Jin and Jiang Wanyin tried to comfort the recently widowed woman who held her sleeping child in her arms - refusing to rest no matter how many maids offered to hold the infant.

"Xichen." The tall sect leader called as soon as he got there and the others turned to him, he didnt speak, but his question was clear.

"We have no idea what is happening here either" the Lan sect leader responded almost immidiatly. The Jiang Leader simply nodded a greeting to the new comer without a care for formalities, the older understood in this situation, he was there when the news came after all, so he didn't mind.

"Your brother said this were the burial mounds?" Mingjue asked again and Yanli looked up from where she cried almost instantly.

Her voice came out weak and cracked, "does it mean a'xian's here!?" She asked exasperatedly making all the others turn to her.
