Chapter 4

Kabir and Sara exchanged glances with each other and then looked at Maya, both unsure of how to respond. Maya, with tears in her eyes and a beaming smile, managed to say, "I still can't believe it. I have a family now. I have a mom, a dad, and brothers as well... I’m so happy I can't even express myself." She stammered with overwhelming emotion.

Each and every word Maya said prompted Sara to hug her tightly, understanding the need for comfort. Kabir watched silently, observing the profound moment. He had never seen Maya so vulnerable and joyful at the same time.

Kabir hadn't expected the situation to escalate to this extent, though he knew Tanya was connected to Maya's parents but the reality was even worse than he had anticipated.

“Bhai, I need every bit of information on the Khurranas, Sharmas, Tanya, and Sara dii 'I want everything related to my family, their businesses, and everyone close to them by midnight. Can you do it?” Maya asked. Both Kabir and Sara, understanding the gravity of her request, nodded in agreement. Maya left with a determined smile.

Sara said anxiously, “What should we do? We can't let her go there knowing how dangerous it is.”

Kabir took a deep breath and replied, “All these years, Maya wished for a family. Although she never showed it, she always prayed for a miracle, hoping she’d get her family back. When she was on the brink of losing all hope, a miracle did happen. Do you think any force in this world can stop her now? We light an oil lamp before starting any auspicious occasion. Burning Tanya alive was not only her punishment but also the beginning of a war. The fire in Maya’s heart will only be quenched when she has returned every bit of pain they inflicted upon her, a hundredfold.”

At Terrace:-

Maya took a deep breath, her voice trembling slightly. "I was never short of anything. Whatever I wanted, Bhai and Dii made sure to fulfill my every wish. But despite that, I was always jealous of everyone out there who had parents and their love. For 22 years, I struggled with this feeling. I tried to come up with every possible reason why my parents might have abandoned me, but I never realized they might have been feeling the same pain all these years. Thank you, God," she said, wiping away her tears, "Thank you so much for giving me the most precious gift I never thought I would have in this life."

Sara continued, "Dev Khurrana and Sameer Sharma are more intertwined than they appear; they support each other in every situation. Dev Khurrana’s illegal activities far outnumber his legitimate ones, and he’s pushing for his daughters to marry two of your brothers to gain a stake in your family’s businesses. He’s more dangerous than he seems, so we need to be very cautious with him. As for Sameer Sharma,he is an asshole as well as a womanizer he’s obsessed with marrying off his daughter to Veeranshu Singhania. He’s removed every obstacle to make this happen and practically worships the Singhanias, doing whatever it takes to align himself with them."

Maya asked, “And what about my family?”

Sara nodded, saying, “Your family is even more remarkable than it seems. Your mother, known as the 'Queen Bee' of the Six Elite Families, is a brilliant mastermind and owns multiple companies. Your father, although retired, remains a partner in your brothers’ businesses. He retired early to devote more time to searching for you, though only the Oberoi's know the true reason—everyone else was told it was due to medical issues.” (Maya struggled to maintain her composure upon hearing this.)

Sara continued, “As for your brothers: Aaditya Oberoi, your eldest, is a powerful and formidable businessman, a spitting image of your father. He learned about your existence on his tenth birthday. Your second brother, Ritvik Oberoi, is the country’s wealthiest and most shrewd lawyer. He has an impeccable track record and found out about you when he was eight, on the same day as Aaditya. Your twin brother, Rehan Oberoi, is a famous rock star with a massive international following. He discovered he had a sister when he was just five, also on the same day as the other brothers. Although they may not seem desperate, they, along with your parents, are tirelessly searching for any clue about you.”
