Chapter 20: Extra II

Hii, this is another extra. The original chapter 20 is still in the making, sorry to say I am seriously strugging to write nowadays and i don't want to make half-assed work so here is this very lighthearted update😪

Context is same, they will react to some clips of the video in the media as well as a second video I will add tp the chapter. Hope you enjoy this despite all.

"Eh, is the screen switching again?" A member of the Nie clan who sat with the girls association asked as she ate a wierd wrapped dish.

The screen had been switched off for a while, but the doors hadn't opened, not allowing them to leave at all, so all just took to sleeping, eating or conversing.

The food that would spawn after the wierd entity took over the two who previously been in charge was wierd to put into a single word - it wasn't bad, but it was definetly what they were used to - from crispy meats to meat and vegies wrapped in a wierd flour mixture, not that they were complaining anyway.

"Oh, you're right, Qiyun.. it's loading again" another girl responded, she was also from the Nie clan sitting right next to the first girl, Nie Qiyun.

Hearing the conversation all the cultivators turned to face the screen in anticipation as it had suddenly stopped what felt like hours ago. Right after hearing Hanguang-Jun's shameless command to the juniors, the screen went off and now, once everyone had just accepted that they were just going to rot in the 'absence of existence'it came back on.

"It's starting" Nie Qiyun said and her friend sushed her, leading to  few giggles around their sit.

Jiang Wanyin, "okay, so we just ad some bacon an-"

"I'm not finished" Lan Wangji cut off not looking up as he cut vegetables on a cutting board.

"Oh.. it's that time..." sandu sengshou mumbled before groaning uncharacteristically loud and sliding down on his sit.

The patriarch and ZeWu-Jun both laughed quietly still clearly remembering the event as well.

"Is this why sect leader Jiang was so mad that time?" Jingyi as curiously as he perked on his seat quickly picking up the seniors' behaviour.

Hanguang-Jun sighed while grandmaster Lan shook his head. Nie Huaisang looked curious but didn't say anything simply looking at the Lans and Jiang leader for a response.

"Okay and then-"

"Oh my god, can you let me do what I need to do?" Lan Wangji cut off the younger again looking up at him causing Jiang Wanyin to  aggressively remove his apron and throw on he ground before stomping out of the kitchen leaving the second Jade to cut his vegetables in peace before hearing a ruccus outside.

"Shit.." he mumbled before neatly removing his own apron and exiting the kitchen behind the older.

"Why were you two cooking together anyway?" Wei Wuxian asked curiously as his own older self and ZeWu-Jun giggled hysterically while trying to hold their laughter.

"It was your birthday, qianbei.." Lan Sizhui spoke awkwardly.

Managing to control himself for a few seconds, the patriarch expanded seeing everyone's confusion still evident, "they wanted to surprise me, but ended up almost creating a civil war" he spoke before bursting into laughter again.

ZeWu-Jun's laughter also increased in volume at the comment, as well as the juniors began to laugh hysterically as well.

The two men involved in the case sighed almost at the same time, both not commbting at all even after noticing the other subtly olace a hand near Wuxian so he wouldn't fall off his seat - it was this subtle care and adoration for the man that kept them from committing unprompted murder.
