There I stood, in front of that sorry excuse for a king... He was berating me with words and insults, but I wasn't listening... I could care less about what happened to me at this point...

Hearing Asgore say the words, "I will crush you like the pathetic shit you are..." It didn't really shock me that much... I saw as his hand started to reach towards my head, I knew he was gonna pop me like a balloon... Heh, all I could do is look down and mutter out, "... Sorry, Paps..." As he was about to grab ahold of my head.

Suddenly, I saw Papyrus stand in front of me. He batted Asgore's hand away in panic as he breathed heavily, "N-NO!" He yelled out, Asgore put his hand back into his cape as he stared Papyrus down. "Hm, Papyrus, I'm impressed... Such bravery and speed you have." He spoke to my bro condescendingly, leaning in as he spoke to intimidate him.

The beast scoffed as he stared at him, "You know... Such acts of heroism would end with me severely punishing you. However, I am in need of more Royal Guards..." He said, what the hell was he trying to get my bro to agree to!? My bro looked confused as Asgore spoke, "W-Wait, what?" "What do you say Papyrus, come and join the guard... Use your abilities to serve me." Asgore spoke over Papyrus. He shot a glare over at me as he started to speak once more, "Do it, and I will also stop bothering your brother." He spoke with a cruel smile, I knew he was using me against him, "Pap..." I muttered out, trying to make him hear a voice of reason.

Asgore stood back up straight and sighed, "I know the offer is sudden... But I'm sure we'll both benefit nicely from this..." He looked down at Papyrus as he said this, Papyrus paused for a moment before letting out a sigh, "Very well, I will join the Royal Guard..." Paps accepted his offer.... Asgore nodded as he smiled, "Hm, a wise decision... You'll make a great royal guardsmen, now then -" He suddenly picked Paps up, holding one of his claws over his left eye, "I did say an act of defiance would go punished, did I not?" As he said this, he scratched Papyrus' eye twice.

As he dropped Papyrus to the ground, my eye flashed red in anger. Sharp bones came up from the floor below me as the floor cracked from the pressure of my power, "W... WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR DO -" Suddenly, I was cut off by Paps throwing a bone at my head, I stumbled back and grumbled.

He walked up to me, tears in his right eye as his left had two slash marks, "Y-You can't do this now... If you could have done it, then..." He looked down at me, heavy breaths coming from both of us, "What was this all for?" He asked me... As I just lowered my head in shame... I could have done more...

Frisk

Walking through the drab city, flowey was kind of on edge, grumbling softly... I looked over at him and tilted my head, "Hey, you okay?" I asked, Flowey perked up as he loosened his wrap around my shoulder slightly, "Huh? O-Oh yeah... I'm fine, heh." He said, I narrowed my eyes to show I knew something was up, "... Urgh... You know how to get me to talk..." He spoke out in annoyance before letting out a sigh.

Shuffling around on my shoulder, he looked away from me, "I-It's just... We're getting closer to the end, and Asgore is just... The worst! I'm scared you can't beat him..." Flowey came clean about what was eating away at him, I gave him a soft smile to assure him all was well. He rolled his eyes and sighed before also smiling slightly, "Heh, golly, you're infectious." He said jokingly.

As we walked closer and closer, we tried to brighten the overall mood. In that elevator journey, we talked about some heavy stuff... But I helped him, I helped him accept that stuff did happen, but he's better now... Anything to give closure.
