Chapter 8

YURI POV:

Nightmare

I was running towards the clearing where my parents were, my worry building with every step.

I had smelled mama's blood when I was training and I began to fear the worst.

As I ran I heard the sound of papa's roar but this time it sounded like it was in pain.

Once I got home I hid behind some bushes and I looked and my eyes widened as I saw a bunch of people dressed in black attacking my parents.

Mama was on the ground trying to get up but the strangers strapped her down with what looked like cables. She made eye contact with me and she shakes her head, not wanting me to come help them.

I look over at papa and he was fighting a bunch of people at once as they shot at him with all kinds of magic. I watched the same cables holding mama wrapped around his neck and legs till he eventually fell to the ground, immobile.

A big man walks over to mama first.

"At last" he said "I'll finally be able to destroy the king and queen of Dragons, and take their power as my own"

A blood red blade appears in his hand and he raises it over mamas neck.

I want to run out and stop them but I knew I wasn't powerful enough to take on all of them.

I watched in horror as the man then brings the blade down on her neck and her body jolted in pain before the life in her eyes died out as she too her last breath.

The man does the same thing to papa and I decided i couldn't sit back anymore.

"IM GOING TO KILL YOU!!!!" I screamed as I charge out of the bush and head straight for the man with the sword. I almost reach him but cables wrap around my leg and I'm pulled back and I hit the ground.

I pull at the restraint but more wrap around my body till I could no longer move.

"Well what do we have here?" Said the man as he walks towards me, his blade vanishing. He crouches down in front of me and lifts my face up by my chin to get a better look at my face. "You must be their offspring"

I growl at him before quickly moving my head and biting his hand.

"You little bitch!" He yells as he punches me with his other hand, forcing me to let go.

"Sir are you alright?" Said one of the other men in black.

"I'm fine" he replied as he inspected his hand before looking at me again. "Bring her along, she'll make a great toy."

I start getting dragged away from my parents and I start trying to fight my restraints.

"No!" I cried "I don't want to leave them. MAMAAAA !PAPAAAA!

End of nightmare

I jolt out of bed with a scream. Panting I look around and I realize I'm in a real bed meaning I'm probably at Laxus' house.

There was the sound of running footsteps and the yellowed haired male appears in the doorway.

"Yuri!" He said as he looked around my room. "Are you alright?"

I nod as I rake my shaky hands through my hair. "J-just a n-nightmare" I said softly.

He walks over and sits on the bed. "About your parents?"

I nod. "It was the day they were killed" I said "I remember their roses of pain, the smell of their blood, everything"

Laxus wraps his arms around me and rubs my back soothingly.
