Saturday night, Draco apologized to me for everything he has done and said to me. He explained to me that he doesn't really care about blood status but his prejudice father does. When his father found out I was American and muggleborn he wanted Draco to target me and make me feel like I was worth nothing. Only why he still did it was because Pansy is a snitch.
If she even seen him be remotely nice to me she'll rat him out. I told him he doesn't have to be my friend if it was a risk of him getting hurt or in trouble. I didn't want that for him. Anybody to be exact. It's just cruel. I'm walking through the corridors—on my way to Transfiguration—when my name is called.
I stop and turned around and was met with Perseus' kind eyes. I squeal happily and ran towards him. I jump into his arms as he spins me around with a breathy laugh escaping my lips. He sets me down on my feet and I look up at him.
"I've missed you," I cry as I cupped his face. "I'm sorry about your grandpa but you are not allowed to leave me again you hear me." I pointed as I brought him back into a tight hug.
He chuckles at my comment and wrapped his arms around me again and rested his face in my hair, "I've missed you too, gorgeous," he mumbles into my hair.
Perseus took his personal days to go home for the passing of his beloved Grandpa Russell. Grandpa Russell was the kindest man you would've ever met. When Perseus introduced me, his grandpa welcomed me with the warmest hug.
I don't have grandparents. They all passed before Malcolm and I were even born. Through the short years, he became my adopted grandpa and I couldn't ask for no one else.
I pull away and linked my arm with his, "Come on, tell me all about it. Was it beautiful," I question him about his grandpa's memorial.
As I skipped Transfiguration and he skips Charms, we're off to the Whomping Willow that sits outside of the castle. We watch the magical tree move on it's as the wind brushes through the falling leaves. Perseus takes out a cigarette and sticks it in between his teeth. He takes out a lighter and lights it up sending a big cloud of smoke my way.
I cough as I covered my nose. His eyes roam my way, "Oh, grow up. It's not that bad," he scoffs as he takes another drag of his cancer stick.
I couldn't help but to laugh, "I am grown. It just stinks." I tell him, as I kept my nose covered.
He takes in a deep breath of the burning tobacco and sighs in relief, "Smells minty to me," he winks my ways.
I rolled my eyes as he tells me all about the memorial. Everything went just right. His parents were asking about me and Lynx and that put a smile on my face. I love his parents. Pure bloods but, didn't act like Lucious. Were never prejudiced towards me and my blood status. They treated me like I was a normal witch. Which was comforting.
