Episode 1: The Not So Great Outdoors: Part 1

A black screen is shown with it suddenly lessening and seeing a dock with the blue waves in the distance. This happens until a middle aged man pops up,  "Yo! We're coming at you live from Camp Wawanakwa, somewhere in Muskoka, Ontario. I'm your host, Chris McLean. Dropping season one of the hottest new reality show on television, right now!".

It shifts to Chris walking along on the dock, "Here's the deal, 23 campers have signed up to spend eight weeks right here at this crummy old summer camp. They'll compete in challenges against each other. Then have to face the judgement of their fellow campers. Every three days, one team will either win a reward, or watch one of their team member's walk down The Dock of Shame. Take a ride on the Loser Boat and leave Total Drama Island, for good."

It cuts to an area with 12 wooden stumps and campfire in front of the screen with Chris walking towards a box with four marshmallows on sticks  "Their fate will be decided here, at the dramatic campfire ceremonies where each week, all but one camper will receive a marshmallow. In the end, only one will be left standing and will be rewarded with cheesy tabloid fame and a small fortune, which lets face it, they'll probably blow in a week. To survive, they'll have to battle."

As Chris is explaining the difficulties the campers will face it cuts towards them one at a time "Black flies. Grizzly bears. Disgusting camp food!" with the maggot in the bowl commenting "Hey now." and it finally getting back to Chris with responding "And each other.". It is now pointing at the many hidden camera around the place "Every moment will be caught on one of the hundreds of cameras situated all over the camp.". It back to Chris for the final time of this pre intro with asking these questions "Who will crumble under the pressure? Find out here right now on... Total Drama Island.".

After the nostalgic intro comes to an end we see Chris on the dock again "Welcome back to Total Drama Island. All right, it's to meet our first 11 campers. We told them they'd all be staying at a five star resort, so if they seem a little T.O.ed, that's probably why.". It then cuts to a small yacht arriving on the dock, revealing a girl with white skin, having braces, brown hair, and a lime green t- vest that has badges on as well as pink pants with her bag on the wooden surface. As she's running towards Chris to give him a hug he says "Beth, what's up?" with the ponytailed girl wrapping her hands around his neck in a nice manner  "It's so incredulous to meet you." , letting go after the statement and commenting in a bit surprised way "Wow, you're much shorter in real life." .  

Chris  raises his right eyebrow "Uh, thanks" being a bit confused that she thinks this.

Beth  walks to the end of the dock as it cuts to a boy arriving and wearing a slightly dim green vest adding a D on the front, a cap of some kind with also grey shorts while holding two bags. As he walks towards Chris with putting the bags down, the host has his name be heard "D.J." with the male responding in a chill voice "Yo, Chris McLean. How's it going? Hey, you sure you got the right place here? Where's the hot tub at?" Chris answers this "Yo, dawg, this is it. Camp Wawanakwa." With D.J picks the bags up again with heading to the end of the dock "Humph. Looked a lot different on the application form." being surprised that it's different from what he expected.

We see a girl having blue hair and dark green/blue sleeves as well as dark green leggings with putting her bags on the dock with Chris introducing herself to us in terms of name. "Hey, Gwen." She then walks up to Chris with glancing at the camp  "You mean we're staying here?" not pleased by this outcome with Chris responding "No, you're staying here. My crib is an airstream with A.C. That-a-way." not only saying that she is but as well as Chris gloating about his place. Gwen then puts an annoyed face w "I did not sign up for this." as Chris corrects her statement by getting a pile of papers  "Actually, you did.". This makes Gwen grab the paperwork pile and rip it into shreds with a smile but Chris isn't bothered by this "The great thing about lawyers is... they make lots of copies." and getting another pile of paperwork. Gwen picks up her bags  "I am not staying here." with Chris doubting it by responding with "Cool. I hope you can swim though, because your ride just left." as the camera shifts to the yacht going away with the horn honking in the distance, making Gwen mad while turning back to Chris, making the response "Jerk!" while begrudgingly walking to the end of the dock.
