Recap time!
Chris: "Last time on Total Drama Island, 23 campers have signed up to spend eight weeks right here at this crummy old summer camp, then have to face the judgement of their fellow campers."

D.J: "It's our first challenge. How hard can it be? Well I just had to open my mouth."

Recap over!

The screen reveals the campers looking nervous or sketchy about what's down below as Chris explains how the challenge will unfold "Okay. Today's challenge is three-fold. Your first task is to jump off this 1,000-foot-high cliff into the lake. If you look down, you will see two target areas. The wider area represents the part of the lake that we have stocked with psychotic... man-eating sharks. Inside that area is a safe zone. That's your target area, which, we're pretty sure is shark free."

"Excuse me?" Leshawna said, not believing the whole thing is accurate which the host ignores "For each member of your team that jumps and actually survives, there will be a crate of supplies waiting below. Inside each crate are supplies that you'll need for the second part of the challenge... building a hot tub. The team with the best one gets to have a wicked hot-tub party tonight. The losers will be sending someone home. Let's see, Killer Bass, you're up first." having the start to end about the challenge told and making it commence.

"Oh, wow. So, who wants to go first?" Bridgette said, but no one is interested in the slightest to jump down the possible cliff of demise. Owen tries to ease everyone's nerves by saying "Hey, don't sweat it, guys. I heard that these shows always make the interns do the stunt first to make sure it's survivable.", showing a scene with Chef on the cliff and Chris standing behind him as Chris says "We need to test the stunts first. You know that.". Chef replies "Do I look like an intern?" leaving Chris to respond "No, but the ones we had are all in the hospital. C'mon, just jump it, you big chicken." doing an impression of a chicken cackling. Chef reluctantly does this "I don't get paid enough for this, man.", jumping off the cliff and unfortunately landing away from the safety circle to his unknown.

"Hey, I made it. I made it, man, uh. Something just brushed up against my foot. Hey, Chris, man, something ain't right down here." Chef exclaimed, when suddenly he gets pulled into the water, instantly exiting with fear while swimming to the safeness of land. "Well, that seems safe enough." Chris said, walking away while silently whistling.

The scene cuts back to the present while Eva asks "So, who's up?" leaving Duncan to reply "Ladies first.", reluctantly making Bridgette jump first "Fine, I'll go. It's no big deal, just an insane cliff dive into a circle of angry sharks."

She thankfully falls into the safety net of the circle, giving a thumbs up to the rest. "She did it. Yeah! I'm next." Tyler said, jumping off while saying "Cowabunga!" the confidence turns to pain tho by him hitting one of the buoys but thankfully landing in the safe space.

Geoff, Eva, and Duncan jump off next with Geoff first saying "Woo-hoo!", Eva saying "Look out below!" and lastly Duncan just crossing his arms ever so causally, all of them land in the circle, feeling satisfied due to the result.

"Nuh-uh, no way, man. I'm not jumping." D.J said, being hesitant, as Chris questions "Scared of heights?" with him confirming this "Yeah, ever since I was a kid."

Chris then says "That's okay, big guy. Unfortunately, that also makes you a chicken. So you'll have to wear this for the rest of the day." putting a chicken hat on D.J's head. This makes D.J feel bad and a bit guilty "Aw, man. For real?" as well as Chris bawking like a chicken to mock D.J's cowardliness "That means the chicken path down is that-a-way. Next." D.J then walks down the escalator.
