I woke up in the dark, blank void of a long-gone battle, the dust settled, oil dried and ruins left to rest in the quiet of the starry nights. But two questions buzzed through my helm. What happened? And why am I here? I sat up and glanced around, scanning the ruins and was soon to realize that there was a small cube of Energon, I curiously grabbed it, it had an estranged purple after glow, something I had never seen before. I heard someone move and I looked up to see the remains of. . .me? I woke up with a jolt, that nightmare. . .again. It is always the same, I still did not know why I do not recognise it sooner. I sigh and sit up, my hand on my helm as I looked around my room, why was that nightmare the same? And why does it seem so. . .familiar? I did not know, and being honest I did not care. I stood up and glanced out the window. Snow, Guess I will be flying cold. I walked out my room and into the hangar, looking at the new recruits stare at me, they always did that, I acted like I was just false robot, I then transformed into my Chinook form as my Pilot walked out, along with Ace, my second Pilot. They both jumped into my cockpit and started testing my controls, ensuring that I was still functional, eventually we got a call, and I took off, something about a crashed meteor, the caller said it looked. . .metallic? Like an ‘alien landing pod’ I could not help but scoff at the words my pilot repeated. “Yeah, I know it is dumb. I have no idea why we are being sent out, but remember, when we get there, you are a robot, got it Kuro?” My pilot spoke in his normal monotoned voice, he always sounded numb and dead inside, like his Spark had burst for the sixth time this week. “Copy that.” I respond, the icy breeze form frost on my rotor blades I could barely feel them, but it was oddly nice, the bitter winter air blowing through my vents, felt nice. We soon arrived, but when my pilots tried to get out, I sealed my doors shut, I knew that pod. . .it was mine. I was so confused; how did it get here? It took off after I was deployed here on Earth. I transformed back into my bot form, “uh- Kuro what are you doING?!” My pilot yelled, I locked my doors as I looked at the pod, “how in the Allspark did this get here? And why?” I looked at the pod, I knelt and wiped away the ash and dirt. Watching as the pods’ marking became clearer, and Autobot symbol overlapped a Decepticon insignia, that was my pod alright. But why was it here? I pulled open the pod and stepped inside, glancing and scanning the eerily familiar walls, it seemed untouched, so who called it here? And who called it? I went to the control panel and saw something that put a shiver down my spine, coordinates and a voice note from someone I hoped to have been left behind and kept safe. . .Optimus Prime. I paused and played it, “Calling to all remaining Cybertronian life. head towards these coordinates, we will find you soon.” I stared at the blank screen, thousands of thoughts raced through my Processor at once, the quiet humming of my engine echoed in the loud silence as I stared at the screen, If Optimus Prime was here, does that mean the Decepticons are? He was never one to stray from those who need protection, if Earth needed protection, I prayed that it was from a lesser threat than Megatron and his cold army.
