Just a Little Different

Chan's POV:

I watched as Y/n hesitated when I asked her what she was going to do. "Y/n, what are you going to do?" I asked her again. I watched as she looked down at the ground before looking back at me. "I'm going to go after him." She says in a monotone voice, a look of determination on her face. "By yourself? You want to go after him by yourself?" I asked her. She nodded her head. I sighed. "There's no way I am going to talk you out of this, is there?" I asked exhaustedly. "You know why I have to do this Chan. You'd do the same for Changbin." She tells me. I looked at her in shock. "I don't know what you are talking about." I deny. I see Y/n smile at me. "You aren't the best when it comes to being subtle about your feelings." She tells me. I just nodded my head. "Okay, but if you are doing this, you have to keep me updated. I won't tell Hyunjin or Han about what you are doing. You are going to be required to update me every few hours, and if you miss even one, I will have Felix track you down and I'm pulling you out. Is that understood?" I asked. Y/n nods her head. "Leader mode activated." She jokes. "Y/n, I'm serious." I tell her. "I know, I know. I promise that I will keep updating you." 

Y/n's POV:

"When are you planning to leave?" Chan asked me. "Within the next few hours." I explain. "Do you even know where Yugyeom could be?" He asked me. I grabbed my phone from my pocket and pulled up an article about an apartment complex fire. "I already know this wasn't Han's doing. Han has more of a structure for his arsons. This was set to make a statement." I explained to Chan. I watched as he pulled out his laptop and started to look into what I showed him. "Can you do me a favor?" I asked Chan. He looks up at me. "What's the favor." He asked me. "Tell Hyunjin and Han that I went back to Las Vegas to check on something when they get back from their mission." I say. "I already know that this is going to take a little bit of time, and the easiest thing to tell them is that I went back there." I added. "I will, only if you let me tell the others where you really are. If things go south, I don't want everyone to be blindsided by this." Chan suggests. "You got yourself a deal." I say before heading towards the door of the office. "And Y/n?" I hear Chan say. I turned back to look at him. "Be careful. I know you know what you are doing, but it takes a split second for something to go wrong in our world and you know this." 

A FEW DAYS LATER

Hyunjin's POV:

"I'm so glad to be back at the base." Han said as we walked up the driveway. "Me too. That mission was exhausting." I agreed. I got up to the door and opened it. When we walked in, I saw everyone except Y/n in the living room. "Hey guys." Han said as we walked over to a couch and sat on it. "Where's Y/n?" I asked the group. "She left to go to Las Vegas a few days ago." Minho said as he was watching the TV. Han and I looked at each other confused. "Why did she go back to Vegas? She hasn't been there since we left five years ago." I say. "She came to me and told me there was something she had to check on. Said it was important." Chan tells us. "How long did she say she was going to be gone for?" Han asked. "She didn't give an exact time frame. Just said she would update me on how things are going." Chan said. "Did she not text you or Han that she was going?" Seungmin asked us. I shook my head. "I never got a text from her." I say while pulling up my texts to send her a message. "Yeah, me either." Han adds on. "I'd give her another day before worrying too much, she might just be really jetlagged." Changbin says. "Besides, she texted me when she landed. I wouldn't be too worried yet." Chan added. I sent a text to Y/n hoping that at some point she would text me back. I watched as Han did the same thing. I wrapped my arm around Han's shoulder and pulled him closer to me. "Y/n will be fine. She's the strongest person that I know." I reassure him. Han nodded his head. "I hope so, I really do."
