Gwen stared at the small package that had just arrived in the mail, her heart racing with anticipation. She carefully tore open the envelope and gasped as a delicate charm necklace slipped into her hand. It was simple but beautiful—a silver chain with a tiny star charm that glimmered in the light. Her face lit up with excitement.
"I can't believe he sent this!" she exclaimed, holding the necklace up to admire it.
Sage, lounging on the couch nearby, raised an eyebrow. "Wow, Luke really pulled out all the stops," she said with a smirk. "What's next, a pony?"
Asher, who was scrolling through his phone, glanced up and chuckled. "Yeah, or maybe a hot air balloon ride. You know, the usual 'I'm totally into you' gift," he added, making air quotes with his fingers.
Gwen rolled her eyes but couldn't hide her smile. "You guys are just jealous," she shot back, already fastening the necklace around her neck. "Luke actually knows how to be thoughtful, unlike some people I know."
Sage put on a mock-pout. "Ouch. Way to hit where it hurts, Gwen."
"Seriously, though, it's nice," Asher said, his teasing tone softening a little. "Luke's a decent guy."
Gwen beamed, still admiring the charm hanging around her neck. "I know, right? It's perfect."
Sage exchanged a knowing look with Asher, and they both broke into a grin. "Looks like someone's got a new favorite accessory," Sage said.
"Or a new favorite guy," Asher added, winking.
Gwen shook her head, but her blush gave her away. "You two are the worst," she laughed. But deep down, she was thrilled.

The sun had barely risen over the treetops, casting a warm glow across the campgrounds. Campers were just beginning to stir, some heading toward the mess hall while others stretched sleepily outside their cabins. Sage was already up, a rare occurrence for her, as she rifled through her bag to find the right outfit for the day.
Gwen, half-awake and cradling a mug of coffee, caught sight of Sage from across the cabin. "Well, look who decided to become a morning person," Gwen teased, leaning against the cabin doorframe with a smirk.
"Don't start," Sage muttered, though a smile tugged at the corners of her mouth. "It's not every day I get to hang out with Noah."
"Oh, I'm well aware," Gwen replied, her voice dripping with playful sarcasm. "You've only mentioned it a dozen times. What's the plan? Canoeing? A romantic nature walk?"
Sage threw a rolled-up pair of socks at Gwen, who dodged it effortlessly. "Not telling you. You'll just make fun of me," Sage said, trying to keep her tone light.
"Please, like I haven't already?" Gwen shot back with a laugh. "But honestly, you're adorable when you're flustered. Noah won't know what hit him."
Asher walked up to the cabin just then, rubbing his eyes and yawning. "What's all the noise about? Some of us are still waking up, you know."
