Jemma woke up to see her Mom getting her medicine she and her Mom share a room because her family is poor Jemma was happy that it was her birthday. There is a tradition when it's someones birthday they get to stay home from school she got up and brushed her teeth and got clothes on.
She looked on her phone to see a text from her friend Kaylee it was a video Kaylee said happy birthday and some more. Jemma's mom said happy birthday. She was happy that her mom said that she was going to the mall for her birthday.
Jemma was drawing for awhile then realize that her Mom was gone but she knew where she went her Mom was addictive to going to the casino so she asked her Mom where she was she did not anser so she knew. She was really used to it because she does with all the time.
Two hours later
Jemma's Mom comes home with a present for her. She was excited to open it she got a pencil bag , lights , a tiny stuffy , and some candy. She was not surprised when all of it was from the Clarence section but she was happy that she got something. Her and her Mom went to her room to put the lights on the walls. After that Jemma went to call her friend . They played Roblox together. Till she had to leave the call.
Her uncle got off work and came home he called her name. She went to him and saw her cousins iPad she asked. "Is Tealy here." "No she left it in the car . " He said back. He told her to go in the kitchen she went then she saw her cousins she was happy.
She brought her a present she opened it and got a ton of stuff. She was happy they talked and played on there phone.Jemma's sister was going to come Friday it was only Tuesday. She had to wait to be honest she thought of her sister as her Mom more then her real mom.
Her uncle told her it was time for cake . They walked to the living room where the table was she blew the candles out. Then her other uncle came and gave she some new shoes for her birthday and $20 she said thank you she just played games with her cousin Tealy blew up a balloon from band and tied it she said it was okay if she got in trouble she grabbed the fly swatter and Jemma threw the balloon and Tealy hit it with the fly swatter. Their grandma came in so they stopped she walked it the living room.
She asked Jemma if she could do a favor for her. Jemma knew what she was going to say every time she had money her grandma would ask if she could have it because she's needed it for cigarettes she said no then she screamed a Jemma and said that she would remember it when the next time she asked her for something.
Jemma and Tealy where still playing with the balloon and fly swatter. Her grandma walk in they stop.then she grabbed the balloon and popped it Tealy started to cry Jemma trued to help she so they went to her room till her uncle found out what happened and yelled at their grandma and grandma yelled at her uncle so she and her dad left Jemma's mom left went to the casino again. Jemma went in her room and cried and said "this was supposed to be a fun day ." Then she fell asleep
