Later the next day, finally free of his late-night dance practice, he returns to the apartment, exhausted.

He and Jisung hadn't really talked about what happened between them. Not much changed, if he had to be honest. Only a few small things. He and Jisung still joked around, still laughed into each other's arms. Except it wasn't normal when Jisung kissed him, or when he cradled Minho into his arms as they slept.

Not that Minho was complaining. Just a normal friendship with more kissing than necessary.

The only thing really messing with him, though, is that Minho wants it to be more. He wants Jisung in every way possible, wants to wake up next to him every day, to be able to press their lips together at any passing moment and have it reciprocated. He wants to call him his boyfriend.

So he walks in with a mission. The feelings are present for the both of them, it's only a few words, nothing daunting. Toeing off his shoes, he glances across the living room to see the balcony door cracked open slightly.

Smiling, Minho shrugs his bag off his shoulders and onto the couch, making his way to the back door. Against the railing, stands Jisung, headphones on his head as he stares out into the star-splotched sky. Minho creeps up behind him, wrapping his hands around the younger's slim waist.

Jisung jumps in his grasp, sliding his headphones down to his neck as he turns around, back pressed against the railing. "Hey," he giggles, thumbing at Minho's cheek.

Minho feels his insides flutter at the sight of him, thick hoodie and tousled hair like he'd been running his hands through it. He likes him too much for his body to handle.

"Hey," he returns, unable to stop smiling. "Gotta question."

Confusion flickers on Jisung's face, the younger tilting his head to the side instead of asking for Minho to continue.

"Wanna be my boyfriend?" He asks, words casual, less interested in the romantic aspect and more focused on Jisung. He doesn't mind that it's informal, that he'd randomly sprung it up on Jisung, standing together on their balcony.

Minho thinks Jisung won't mind much either.

Jisung's face lights up, a wide smile curling onto his lips, heart-shaped and toothy. "Of course," he answers, and that's enough for Minho.

They kiss slowly, a hand on Jisung's chest so that Minho can feel the thrum of Jisung's heartbeat beneath his fingers. They kiss like they have all the time in the world—because they do. No need to rush or push things further along.

Jisung cradles his face when they break apart, a slight pout on his lips.

Minho hums with confusion, "Something wrong?"

"I was planning on asking you out tomorrow during a very romantic surprise date," Jisung complains, a whine in his voice. He's obviously not as disappointed as he makes it seem, smile still visible in his eyes.

Minho giggles, pressing a kiss to his cheek. "You can ask me again, then," he offers, feeling Jisung's cheeks bunch up beneath his lips, pleased.

"Okay baby," Jisung grabs hold of his chin, touch feather-light. He presses a quick kiss to his lips, a laugh behind his voice. "I will."

Even in the cusp of winter, warmth radiates from his skin, clashing against the cold air. He returns to lick into Jisung's mouth, tasting because he's able to, now. Comforted, they hold each other, slotting together like pieces of a puzzle, like summer and winter.

And Minho thinks if later on he was asked to name the point in time he'd want to return to, he'd choose right now every time.
