February 15, 2004: Ryuudou Temple, Fuyuki, Japan

Shirou groaned as his vision stops blurring, reality becoming stable after the deployment of the Unlimited Blade Works. He was back at Ryuudou Temple, or at least what was left of it after the fighting; Servants really can do some damage. Speaking of Servants, he wasn't alone.

"You've got to be kidding me."

The Archer Servant Gilgamesh stood before him, panting, down an arm after Shirou's last attack. Despite the loss of the limb, Gilgamesh hadn't lost that much blood, most likely his Servant body already having mana to help keep the wound from being fatal.

'Shit,' Shirou thought. 'He's not dead yet... You've got to be kidding me.'

He winced, feeling both his and most likely Tohsaka's magical reserves running on empty, the magical pathway Rin had created already fading away. Golden eyes met red, as the magus and the demigod glared at each other. The golden light of the Gate of Babylon shines above Gilgamesh's head, the Servant aiming a final noble phantasm at Shirou's head.

"Running out of mana is such a pathetic end," Gilgamesh spat, panting. "You won the fight, but it won't save your life, faker!"

Before he could fire, Shirou's eyes widened as a dark void formed in the place of the golden Servant's severed limb, starting as a small void before expanding. His concentration broken, the Gate of Babylon fades as Gilgamesh struggles with the vortex.

"What?! How dare you, wretch!?"

"The hole of the Grail?!" What else could it be?

Gilgamesh seemed to be pulled into the void as it tried growing bigger and bigger, an insulted look on his face. "That half-formed abomination!! Doesn't it realize a fellow Servant can't be made into its code?!"

However, despite the demigod's power, the void expanded, overtaking him and growing more, the winds around Shirou howling as it sucked in everything. Like a miniature black hole, it levitated and kept on pulling before a chain was fired from it. Shocked and exhausted, Shirou's arm was grabbed by the chain of Heaven, Enkidu, the magus barely able to reclaim his footing. He nearly skidded into the void, struggling against the pull as he watched in horror as a hand erupts from the void, Gilgamesh grabbing the chain and slowly pulling himself partway out.

"Y-You just don't stop, do you?!" Shirou spat through grit teeth, the pull even stronger as the Grail tries to pull him harder. "If you think you'll pull me in with you-"

"Don't be stupider than you are, mongrel!!" Gilgamesh growled. "Just stay right there till I drag my way out!"

Shirou's eyes widened. If Gil got out, he had no mana to fight him, but he had a soul for Gilgamesh to consume. Gilgamesh was an Archer, he could last long with no master, potentially forever since he was incarnated. If he didn't stop him now, everything, it would be for nothing! Sakura would die! Taiga too! And Rin-

'Rin...' Shirou closed his eyes, realizing what he had to do. 'Even if I cut my arm, he could just grab onto me again with those chains... I'm finishing this!'

He looked at Gilgamesh, a smirk on his face.

"What's with that look, mongrel?" Gilgamesh had managed to pull his torso from the void.

"Just realized, I lied." Shirou laughed exhaustedly and jumped. Immediately, the chain and the pull of the Grail's hole pulled him to Gilgamesh.

'I don't have the mana to make another blade... so I'll use the one he gave me!'
