Porsche’s POV

The drive back to the mansion felt longer than usual. My mind was racing with everything that had happened that morning. Vegas’s cryptic words kept replaying in my head. How did he know what was happening in the major family? And why was I feeling like there was more to him than just the cold, calculating exterior he showed the world?

I hadn’t fully processed what Big had said over the phone, but if they’d caught the waiter who drugged me and want to talk about it with me, then that meant there was more to this than just a random attack.

As I pulled up to the mansion, I couldn’t shake the feeling that things were about to get a lot more complicated. And I wasn’t sure if I was ready for what was coming.

Kinn's POV

Porsche barely acknowledged me as he entered the room, the way, Porsche had walked in, his eyes were cold and distant, treating me as if I were a ghost. No acknowledgement, no respect—just pure, calculated indifference. It shouldn't have bothered me, but it did. It hurt more than I was willing to admit.

As Big and I spoke to Porsche about the waiter, about the revelation that the drugging had nothing to do with the major family, I kept watching Porsche, hoping for any sign that he was listening. But he wasn't. His eyes glazed over whenever I spoke, his attention focused elsewhere. It was as though I didn't exist in the world anymore, and that stung deeper than I anticipated.

When Porsche finally left my office with Big, I couldn't shake the gnawing feeling that something vital had shifted between us. The sadness on my face must have been obvious because Big noticed it immediately. As Porsche exited the room, I saw the way Big looked at me—concerned, as if he wanted to say something but was holding back.

Big's POV

The faint flicker of hope that had been in Kinn's eyes when Porsche arrived slowly dimmed, replaced by a shadow of sadness that make my heart ache. I had known Kinn long enough to recognise that look—an unsure, confused vulnerability that rarely surfaced. Following Porsche out of Kinn's office, I couldn't keep quiet any longer. I had seen the hurt in Kinn's eyes, the same look I had been witness to on countless occasions, though never directed at one of his men. As we walked down the hallway, I finally spoke up, unable to bear seeing Kinn like that.

"Porsche," I started, catching his attention. "I know why you're treating Kinn that way, like he's invisible." I began cautiously, with a soft tone. "You're angry about what happened-the punishment, the way he handled everything. I get it. But what you don't understand is that Kinn didn't want to punish you. He did
it because he had to, to maintain his image in front of the other guards, and to satisfy his father's expectations. It wasn't because he wanted to."

Porsche scoffed, stopping to face me, his expression hardening. "You're really going to defend him, aren't you? Why do you care so much, Big? It's almost like you've got feelings for him."

I froze, trying to keep my emotions in check. "That's not it. I'm just concerned about my boss. That's all."

Porsche's laugh was dry, disbelieving. "Even a blind man could see the way you look at him, Big. That's not how a bodyguard looks at his boss."

I could feel my resolve slipping. But I couldn't let Porsche see the truth. "I've been with Kinn for many years. I care about him, yes, but it's not what you think. I'm just doing my job."

"If you say so," Porsche muttered before walking away, leaving me alone with my thoughts. But his words echoed in my mind, louder and clearer than I wanted them to.

Porsche was right. I do love Kinn, but I have no chance of ever being with him. Kinn has feeling for you, Porsche. He might not know it yet, but I can see it. Cause I was there, this fucking unrequited love. All I can do is protect both of you, even if it tears me apart.

Author's POV

Unbeknownst to Big, Kinn had overheard everything. Hidden in the shadows, Kinn's mind raced as he pieced together the depth of Big's feelings. The realisation hit him like a truck—Big's loyalty, his care, his concern—it was more than just duty. It was love. Kinn's heart pounded in his chest as he emerged from his hiding place, his thoughts swirling with confusion and curiosity.

As Big turned to head back to his duties, he froze, realizing Kinn had heard everything. Kinn stood in the hallway, eyes wide, clearly processing what he had just overheard. Big’s heart sank. It was too late to run now.

"Kinn," Big stammered, trying to think of an excuse, but he interrupted. "Big we need to talk," Kinn said his voice low and steady. Big looked at him, trying to mask the turmoil he felt inside.

"There is nothing to talk about Kinn," Big replied, attempting to brush off the conversation. But Kinn wasn't convinced. "Porsche was just imagining things."

Kinn stepped closer, his gaze intense. "You're lying," he whispered, and before Big could respond, Kinn closed the distance between them and kissed him. It was sudden, forceful, and it caught Big completely off guard. For a moment, Big responded, his defences crumbling as he allowed himself to feel what he had kept hidden for so long. But then, reality crashed down on him, and he pushed Kinn away, breathing heavily.

"What are you doing?" Big's voice was shaky betraying his emotions.

Kinn didn't answer the question. "Now I know what's in your mind," he said, his tone unreadable. Without another word, Big fled, his heart pounding in his chest as it was going to burst out.

The next day, Big tried to act as though nothing had happened, maintaining a strict professional distance. It irritated Kinn more than he expected. Big's coldness, his refusal to even look Kinn in the eye—it was like a wall had gone up between them, and Kinn hated it. He couldn't stand it.

Finally, Kinn couldn't take it anymore. He called Big to his room under the pretense of discussing work. Big agreed, but the moment he stepped inside, Kinn pinned him against the door. Their faces were inches apart, breaths mingling in the charged air. The look of shock on Big's face was quickly replaced by something else—fear, maybe? Kinn didn't give him time to think, capturing his lips in a kiss that was desperate, hungry, and demanding.

As their lips met, Kinn felt a jolt of electricity run through his body. Big's mouth was warm and inviting, his tongue gentle yet insistent. Kinn's heart raced as he deepened the kiss, his hands cradling Big's face. The scent of Big's cologne and the faint taste of coffee on his breath filled Kinn's senses.

Big's initial resistance melted under Kinn's relentless touch, his body betraying the feelings he had tried so hard to suppress. His body relaxed into the kiss, his muscles yielding to Kinn's touch. His hands, initially hesitant, began to explore Kinn's back, tracing the contours of his spine. The soft rustle of their clothes, the gentle hum of the air conditioner, and the pounding of their hearts created a symphony of sounds.

As they broke apart for a moment, Kinn's eyes locked onto Big's, the desire and vulnerability in their depths making his own heart skip a beat. Big's lips were swollen, his skin flushed, and his eyes dark with longing. Kinn's fingers traced the curve of Big's ear, sending shivers down his spine.....
