Alright, world, brace yourselves. This is my story, and it’s about to get real. I’m Zenica, an ambitious girl with dreams as big as the Eiffel Tower, and a heart that’s about to be turned upside down.

I always thought I was a Disney princess, but not the kind who waits for a prince to save me. No, in my story, I’m the brave one, the one who saves the prince. (Or maybe he saves me? Hmm, maybe that’s the twist.) But let’s be real, I’m not the picture-perfect princess you’d imagine. I’m clumsy, kind, a bit of a scaredy-cat, and unbelievably dumb when it comes to love. (Don’t judge me, it’s a work in progress.)

You know Edna Mode? Yeah, I’m kind of like her, except with less fashion sense and more awkwardness. But I’m good at it, I swear!

Now, about my love story… It all started with a rainy day, a screeching car, and a boy with eyes that could pierce through my soul.

Scene: Zenica’s Home

Iresh: Zennnnnn! You’re going to be late!

Zen: (Oh, that’s my mom.) Coming, Mooom! (Comes downstairs, rushing)

Iresh: Zen, honey, what took you so long? You’re about to be late.

Zen: Nahhhh! It’s just school, Mom. Btw, what time is it?

Roger: 07:51?

Zen: (Spits out the water she was drinking) "What? I gotta go!" (Runs and kisses her mom and dad’s cheeks)

Iresh and Roger: Bye, darling! (Wave)

Roger: (Sobs happily) She’s grown up so fast.

Scene: On the Road

Zen: Oh no! I’m late! (Fastly walking)

…A car screeches to a halt, narrowly missing Zen…

Car: Peeeep!

Zen: (Looks at the car, frightened) Ahhhh! (Screams)

The car narrowly misses Zen, and she falls to the ground. A crowd gathers around her. You can see in Zen’s eyes that she’s a little scared and super angry at the guy in the car. She’s about to stand up and attack him aggressively, but then the guy gets out of the car.

Girl 1: (Shocked and gasps) Tha…tha…that’s Alexander Ashes!

Girl 2: You…you…you’re right!

Lots of people gasp.

Zen: Mind=("Seeing the guy, my hand instinctively flew to my chest, my heart us pounding against my ribs. His smile…it was captivating. I felt a strange pull towards him, something I hadn't felt before. My initial anger fizzled, replaced by a curious mix of awe and confusion.  I glanced at his sun-kissed blonde hair, my eyes tracing the sharp lines of his jaw.  He was breathtaking.)  "Snaps back to reality" Oh no, what was I thinking?

Zen: Zen: (Furious)  You almost killed me! You idiot! Don’t you even know how to drivee

Zen: (Scoffs)  Misjudged? You almost ran me over! I have dreams! I can’t die!

Zen: (Glares) Why are you smiling? You think this is funny?

Zen: (Furious)  You’re a jerk!

Zen: (Slaps him)  You deserve it!

Zen: (Fuming)  You…you… I hate you!

Zen storms off to school, seething with anger

Alexander’s POV

Hi, I’m Alexander. A lot of people think that I already have everything in life: beauty, money, intelligence, and kindness. But freedom, sighs, freedom wasn’t for me.

Carl: Alexander!

Alex: Yes, Dad?

Carl: (Startled) Uhmmm, never mind. Just go to school and come back home at 4 pm sharp for your piano and Chinese class.

Alex: Uhmm, Dad…

Carl: Alexander, if you’re just going to ask me if you can go to the concert and enjoy hanging out with your new friends this 8 pm, then my answer is no!

Alex: Bu…but…

Carl: No buts, Alex! Go to school now, and don’t you ever talk back again or else…

Alex: Else what?

Carl: I will let you go back to your old process of learning. “Homeschool”! Just be thankful I let you follow your desires and learn in a real school.

Alex: (Sighs) Ok, Father.

Scene: On the Road

Alex: I hate my life. A lot of people were thinking that I’m full of everything, but I’m not. When will I ever be able to fill this empty space in me? And who will that be? (Sobs)

April: (Touches Alex’s hand) As your father’s secretary, I will never deny the fact that your father is way too much. But I think he’s just doing this for your own future. And if there is someone who can fill that empty space inside you, then that will be found out only by you.

…April sees Zenica walking in front of the car…

April: Hey! Watch out!

The car almost bumps Zenica .

Alex: Wha…What happened? (Shocked)

Driver: (Breathes heavily) We almost bumped someone.

Alex: Let’s check if she’s ok.

Alex: I came down from the car, and suddenly, I met this girl. She looks so cute, but I’m scared, I don’t know what to do. Her hair is dark as night, she has pretty blue doll eyes, and the way she looks at me, it’s so so so… (Snaps back to reality)

Zen: (Furious) Hey! You almost killed me! You idiot! Don’t you even know how to drive?

Alex: (Coldly) I apologize. It appears I misjudged the distance.

Zen: (Scoffs)  Misjudged? You almost ran me over! I have dreams! I can’t die!

Alex: (Raises an eyebrow)  Interesting. I suppose you’re right.

Zen: (Glares) Why are you smiling? You think this is funny?

Alex: (His smile fades)  I’m not smiling.

Zen: (Furious)  You’re a jerk!

Alex: (Sighs)  I’m not sure I understand the need for such aggression.

Zen: (Slaps him)  You deserve it!

Alex: (Steps back, unfazed)  I’m not sure I understand the need for such violence.

Zen: (Fuming)  You…you… I hate you!

Alex:  (Looks at her with a detached gaze)  I’m sure you do.

Zen storms off to school, seething with anger.

April: Alex, in the car now… You’re about to be late!

Alex: (Rides the car)

Zen’s POV

Zen: Ughhhhhhhhh! I hate that guy! Who does he think he is? Just because he’s Alexander Ashes? ......... (Shock on what she just said) Wait… So that’s… Oh noooo… That’s Alexander Ashes! I can’t believe it. He’s…he’s… (Blushes) Rude! I hate him!

Scene: At School

Zen: Oh no no no no no, I’m late!

Alexander’s POV

Alex: No way! I’m late! (Comes down from the car). Bye, April. (Waves)

April: Bye, Alex! Make this day memorable as possible, my darling.

…Zen and Alex both grab the door knob, and they bump into each other…

Zen: Ouchhhh!!! (Touches her head in pain)

Alex: Are you ok, Miss? (Lends his hand while picking up Zen’s book)

Zen: (Accepts Alex’s offer)

…Both of them look at each other…

Zen: (Gasps) You? Again?

Alex: (Shocked) Wa…wa…wa…wa…wait…you…you a…a…AGAIN?

Zen: Ughhhhhhhhh! Nevermind! Why do I always bump into stupid people.

Both go to class

Scene: Inside the Classroom

Zen: (Sees a kind-looking girl) Hey! What’s your name?

Nora: I’m Nora! You?

Zen: I’m Zeronica Santos, but you can call me Zen.

Nora: It’s a pleasure to meet you, Zen.

Zen: Me too! But wait! Where’s the teacher?

Nora: What do you mean? There’s no teacher today. They’re in an important meeting.

Zen: Uhmmm, ok.

Gehlee: Oh, hi thereeee, my Alexander… Come sit with me!

Alex: Ok, but I think I want to sit with her. (Points to Zen)

Gehlee: (Gasps) Huhhh? No! You might be kidding me. Hahahahah! Tell me you’re kidding. Btw, you don’t want to sit with a loser, aren’t you?

Alex: (Looks at Zen) Uhmmm, I guess… I’ll just sit with you?

Gehlee: Yeyyyyyy (Hugs him) I know you always want to sit with me and not with that delulu stupid-looking girl! (Laughs sarcastically)

Zen: (Whispers to Nora) No wonder Alex is such an attitude guy because he’s friends with that Gehlee.

Nora: (Gasps in shock) Huhh? Ho…ho…how did you know him?

Zen: Long story.

Nora: Plssss, tell me.

Zen: Ok, fine! He almost hit me with his car.

Nora: Woah! Nevermind then.

Scene: During Class

Well, let’s just skip this one because nothing special even happens.

Scene: After Class

All students are now being fetched by their drivers.

Nora: Bye, Zennnnn.

Zen: Bye too, Nora. (Waves)

Nora: (Sees Alex) (Gasps) And btw, have some fun with your Boyfriend. Hahahahah

Zen: Boyfriend? Who?

Nora: Nahhhhh! Bye.

Alex: (Comes towards Zen and taps her shoulder) Hi there, Ms. Anger!

Zen: (Shocked) 😮 Gwuahhhhh! You again?

Alex: Btw, about what happened…

Zen: (Ignores him)

Alex: Zenica, I’m sorry, I just wanted you to know that I feel super guilty about that. And the time I came down from the car, I just want to apologize that time. I swear. You see, I’ve never been to school before and never had friends other than Gehlee. It’s just all sort of new to me. I truly meant it. (Looks at Zen and smiles sadly)

Rain pours heavily
Thunder rumbles

Alex: (Sees that Zen doesn’t have an umbrella and is feeling cold) Btw, where’s your umbrella?

Zen: Uhmmm, I don’t have any.

Alex: (Covers Zen with his umbrella and takes off his jacket, putting it on Zen’s shoulders).

Zen: (Shocked) What do you think you’re doing?

Alex: Take that with you! (Taps Zen’s shoulder)

Zen: (Takes the umbrella, but it closes.)

Alex: (Laughs) See you tomorrow!

Zen: (Blushes) Se…see…see…see you tom…tomorrow. Hahaha (Nervously laughs) Woah! Why am I staring? Btw, I’ll give this back to you tomorrow.

Alex: (Screams from afar) No need, you might need it again. A little thank you will do. Bye, My Little Anger…(whisper) I mean angel.

Zen: (Blushes)

April: (Opens the door)

Alex: (Comes in)

Scene: Inside the Car

April: First day of school, and we already have two lovebirds.

Alex: Whatever, she’s just a friend. Oh… a friend.
