Yuvaan

Work, work and work. That's the only thing I put my mind to. Nishtha left YuBM as soon as the event ended. She wasn't lying. I had to now find another consultant, which was annoying me. Who else is going to carry her experience?
Ugh.

"Arush, any luck?" I asked my best friend.
"Nope. They're all busy, or taken."
I heard a knock on the door, "Come in." I said.
The door opened and I found Nishtha there.
What's she doing here?

"What do you want?" I asked her.
"Arush." She said, looking at him, "Hi. It's been a while."
I saw her shake his hand. I was fueling.
Why is she ignoring me now?!
"Arush, please ask her why she's here?"
"Nish..." he said, looking at her, "what's up?"
"I wanted to make amends for my action."
"What?" I asked her.
"Well, I left without a notice so I decided to find a consultant who can be good."
"Who?" Arush asked.
"Umm. My friend. Priya."
Priya. She was the one who set us up.
"Whats her degree?" I asked.
"She's into business management. She interned with me when I worked as a consultant."
"I see." I said, "Tell her to come tomorrow."
"Sure. Thanks."

She was about to leave when I noticed a bunch of paint stains and mess on her shirt.
"Very professional dressing, Ms Yadav." I said.
She turned around and looked at her shirt and then spoke, "I... I was painting something."
"Painting what?"
"None of your business Yuvi—"
I looked up instantly. Did she just?
"It's none of your business Mr Nanda." She said and stormed out.

I groaned and pinched the bridge of my nose.
"Damn. Yuvi." Arush said.
"Shut up. I'm gonna go for a walk."

I stood and got out. I walked towards the same mandir again. I don't know why but seeing her made me want to go to the mandir more. I went to the temple and just near it, I saw Nishtha with her family and Aaji.
What are they doing here?
I walked up to them, "Hello everyone?"
They turned around, "Yuvaan?" Uncle said.
"Hi Uncle!" I said, touching his feet, "what's going on?"
"Yuvaan, we got this restaurant yesterday so we are painting it today."
"Wow! Congratulations!"
"Thank you!"
"You all are here? Where are Neel and Nishtha?"
"They're also painting here at the back."
I walked at the back and saw them both fighting.
"NEEL, THIS IS WRONG!" She yelled.
I chuckled, they always fight.
"Di man can you relax?!"
"Neel yaar! It needs to be pretty colors! Have you not heard of color theory?!"
"Your sister is right Neel." I said, coming in folding my sleeves, "whatever colour theory."
"Mr Yuvaan?" Neel said, "You're here?"
"Just came to see why IBM's Data Engineer was dressed as a painter today." I teased.
"Yuvaan!" Aunty said, "Beta, you please help me. These two keep fighting, they're getting no work done. Tu aaja, come."
"Aai. You can't just get anyone to work."
"You keep quiet. You and Neel are just fighting and now I need someone to help me and you're not letting him help me either."
I chuckled.
"Aunty. What do I need to do?"
"You help with the painting. Neel, you come with me and get the plates and stuff, it's outside."
Neel left, leaving us alone.
"So...." I said, "give."
"Why are you here Yuvaan?" She said, putting a hand on her hip.
"Are you deaf?"
"Leave, Yuvaan. I can do whatever it is."
"Sure you can. Can you reach the height despite being on a ladder?"
"Listen..." she said as I came closer, "don't mess with me."
"Or... what?" He said.
"I will hi— AAHHHHH!"

She tried to talk but she was about to fall down, losing her balance. Before she fell, I quickly held her by her waist and secured her. I looked at her. She bit her lips in nervousness and her eyes were tight shut. I slowly moved a strand of her hair behind her ears. She opened her eyes.
Ugh. Her eyes are so mesmerizing.

"Y...Yuvaan... leave me." She said and I let go.
She fell down.
"YUVAAN! HOW DARE YOU?"
"You only said leave me, why are you whining?"
"I don't like you." She said.
"The feelings are mutual."
"Just, go to your office. I will manage this."
"Mai apni marzi ke bina kahi nahi jaata."
She picked her phone and put it to her ear while looking at me, "Hi, Mr Yuvaan ki marzi, please come so that he can leave me alone!"
I chuckled. "Whatever."
I walked out and met Uncle, who was on call with someone. He looked worried.

"Is everything okay?" I asked.
"Yuvaan... yea... everything is fine."
"Are you sure?"
"Beta vo..." He tried to talk, "never mind."
"Uncle. Come." I said, pulling him out, "Please tell me what it is."
"Beta... I'm being... I'm being blackmailed."
