'Where am I?' Sasha sniffed a hoarse voice from crying and screaming.

'Where you belong to. With me, darling' the man said in the dark, standing by the door in the basement where Sasha is being held in.

Sasha couldn't see anything in pitch black and she had no idea where she was, all she knew was that she was being chained up in the corner far from the door. She could only see the silhouette from the door where there was so little dimmed light from upstairs, she had no idea how long she'd been there. A few days maybe but she couldn't remember how she ended up in the basement, only dressed in what seemed like a ragged t-shirt and shorts that were a little big on her.

The man seemed only to come downstairs to give Sasha the bread and water or replace the clean bucket so Sasha could use it to pee, not that she needed to use it much anyway. Since she's stuck in the basement and always in the dark without seeing anything, she tries to find a way to get out which is useless because she's trapped by the chain and with nothing in the room to free herself with. She tried to scream and yell for help but nothing came to rescue her, she got tired and weak.

'Please let me go' Sasha begged once again.

'There's food and drink right here, eat' The man ignored her and set down the tray by Sasha before leaving the basement and locked the door.

Sasha is all alone in the basement with all her thoughts again.

PRESENT

Sasha jotted down on her notepad, taking the orders from the table with the loving-up couple.

'So it's one steak with fries and one lasagna with salad on the side, two lemonade?' Sasha looked up at the couple and saw that she got the order right, 'okay, I'll be right back with the drinks' she picked up the menus from the couple before leaving the table.

'Sasha, you know you're working overtime again right?' The boss said, watching Sasha put the notepad on the wall for the chef to take.

'Yes I know' Sasha rolled her eyes, smiling at the boss. Knowing the conversation is happening again, it has been so many times and she knew that the boss would lose the argument and allow Sasha to work as much as she wants and still pays her.

'And you know I can't allow you to work this much, it got to be illegal somewhere!' Robbie grins at Sasha.

'But you still allow me, you know how this conversation will end and why I always work overtime' Sasha took two large glasses off the shelves and poured the lemonade in before putting in the ice.

'That's why you're my favorite waitress, never complains about working!' Robbie chuckled, 'But after serving the drinks, you can go home. It's 8 pm and Friday'.

Sasha nodded her head reluctantly.

'Sash, it's Friday! Just go and make plans, just go wild okay?!' Robbie smiled at Sasha, he's like a father to her that she never had, he always cares and always makes sure he's there for Sasha when she needs help.

Sasha rolled her eyes jokedly at Robbie, knowing that Robbie knew she wouldn't make any plans again this weekend but she accepted the time to go home. She carried the drinks over to the couple.

'The food will be here in a few with another waitress, hope you enjoy the evening' Sasha smiled at the couple who smiled at her and told her to have a good evening.

Sasha took off her apron and put it in her locker in the staff room, she pulled the hair tie from her ponytail and let loose her long brown wavy hair down. She sighed feeling free from her hair being pulled up at long hours, she pulled out her phone and saw 2 missed calls from her mother and a text too.

I'm going out with your nan at bingo, be home at around 10 pm. Love you xxx - Mom 6.22 pm

Of course, mom would be at bingo with Nan, as they always do every Friday, and leave Sasha home alone for a few hours which she loves. At that time she normally read a book or watch something on television.

Sasha put on the coat, took the backpack, and then said goodbye to her boss and staff before leaving the restaurant, got in the car, and drove towards her home.

It's raining and cold as it's October now, of course, it's getting dark now. Sasha drove carefully, she always had this fear when she was driving in the rain and dark. The route to her home from the restaurant would take around 40 minutes, it would be normally quiet because she lives in the village and not many drivers around.

Finally, she got home safely, Sasha sighed in relief. She hated driving in the rain especially when it was so heavy and dark, she always felt like she was in danger and always felt strange. Sasha didn't know why she always felt so tense when it seemed so safe in the village like nothing bad would happen to her.

Sasha lets herself inside the house that she shares with her mother, shaking out the rain from her hair and putting up the wet coat on the hanger, taking off her worn Converse like it's her routine every time she's home from work but this time she accidentally kicked something light from the front door, she looked down and saw the cream envelope with her name on it.

Only it's not handwritten but letters cut out from magazines and glued on, Sasha frowned and picked it up. She felt the envelope a bit damp from the rain, someone must have posted it through the letterbox.

Sasha opened the sealed envelope and took out the folded-in-half paper, turned to read it. Sasha gulped shakingly and thought it was familiar a bit when she read the letter with the cut-off letters from the magazines.
