SPEEDY P.O.V

"Good Luck Speedy!" shouted by some random chick who I believed I just met awhile ago.

Ugh. Another good luck for this day from people who I did not exactly knew of. Don't get me wrong, but I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just tired that's all.

By the way the name's Stella Gonzales but you can call me Speedy! You must be wondering why out of all names, I just had to pick Speedy as my nickname. Well partypoopers, let me enlighten you. Are you familiar with the old cartoon Speedy Gonzales? The mouse who run at an exceptional speed and talks fast? Does it ring a bell? No? The heck with it.

Well obviously my last name's Gonzales so you could now crossed out the Gonzales part. For Speedy, I got that name from my training coach, Sir John. He was the one who taught me Taekwondo when I was still little. By little I mean, when I was just 6 years old. Yep, you didn't get that wrong. My dad decided to enroll my brother and I in Taekwondo Classes for self-defense even if we were still kids. Talk about living while we're young..

Well, going back to the Speedy part, my coach noticed that I was incredibly fast when it comes to sparring that even boys couldn't handle my awesomeness. I even got the chance to beat up my brother. Ha ha ha those were the good times! And I also talk fast by the way. He also mentioned to me that Speedy Gonzales was one of his favorite cartoons during his youth. From then on, He called me Speedy.

"Earth to Speedy are you there?" Suddenly I felt a hand shaking me from my thoughts.

"Oh right! Thanks..?" What was her name again? I thought.

"Ivy."  She frowned but then quickly replaced it with a smile. Well that was quick.. and rude. I couldn't actually blame her. I was talking to her like five minutes ago.. Yep, I forgot her name that fast.

"Oh. Thanks Ivy!" I beamed trying to sound cheery and all.

After that she walked away, probably calling it a day. Okay, that was awkward. I didn't mean to forget her name because first of all, I'm bad at remembering people's names which I don't know why, second is that I had a lot of things in mind that I had to fix today. This was the first day of uni, and apparently for me, was the last, for now.

Well for starters, I'm a college freshman at one of my country's most prestigious universities. You must now be wondering what country I'm from and no, I'm not from Mexico. I'm actually from the Philippines. I'm taking up a Legal Management course (a mix of law and business obviously) because I wanted to become a lawyer ever since I was a kid however, my parents wanted me to takeover the family business so I decided to take up both law and business.

Oh! Before I forget, you must be wondering why that Ivy chick just said good luck to me. Well apparently, I was one of the country's top taekwondo athletes and I also just happen to be the part of the Team Pilipinas that would join this year's London Olympics. I believed I got the part because I was the only one in the team who won a gold medal at last year's World Taekwondo Championships that was held at Seoul, South Korea. Who would have thought I would actually win that thing? Well not me..

Don't get me wrong but I love Taekwondo, I train and work hard everyday. I kick butts when I have to. However, Taekwondo's not exactly my first love and dream. It was my father's dream. (Actually he wanted to try Karate when he was a kid but my grandparents could not afford it then. So basically, he put all his frustrations on us.. well mostly on me actually. You must be confused why he enrolled us in Taekwondo and not Karate. Don't ask. I don't know too.)

All I ever wanted was to pursue a career in the legal world. To be honest, I also kickass at debates because I was also a very fast speaker. They don't call me Speedy Gonzales for nothing.
