Yixiang thought Euijoo would stop showing up to meet him months ago. But every new moon he was surprised to see a new flower sprout and his friend would appear. The yard was filled with glowing blue flowers at this point, strangers walking past could see them from the far along path.

Yixiang would always speak proudly that they were gifts from a faraway land but no one knew what he meant exactly. Euijoo would laugh when he would tell him about these encounters.

Euijoo also found himself looking forward to their meetings as well. Not just their meetings, but seeing Yixiang himself. He made him laugh and smile in ways he never remembers. He still remembers when Yixiang hugged him for the first time.

It had been a humid summer night and they had been silently munching on peaches that he bought from the market that day. After laying his hand on the deck, Euijoo quickly pulled it back. He unknowingly had rested his hand on top of Yixiang's and the warmth that quickly spread had alarmed him.

He heard him chuckling next to him. "Are you okay? It's just my hand." Euijoo hugged his hand to his chest and rambled nonsense, trying to hide his embarrassment.

"Here, you can hold it if you want." He looked towards the man next to him, smiling with his hand out. Palm facing up opened to receive his hand. Euijoo felt a slight pulling in his heart.

It was as if his heart was leading him toward the man right in front of him. Slowly but surely, he moved to lay his hand in his palm. He was mostly hovering above it but he was shaking so much that they occasionally made contact.

Each touch made him warm and all buzzed inside. Yixiang finally took hold of his hand and laid them down. Now he could feel the full force of his shaking but kept a firm but gentle grip to steady him.

"Is this okay with you?" Euijoo meant to be subtle but nodded quite excitedly. Yixiang giggled and scooted closer to him to the point their legs were touching. "In all my years, I've never..."

"Never held hands with someone?" He huffed, his answer was quite clear. His body was exploding with a sensation he'd never felt before which was overloading his mind. They just sat together in silence as they both let their minds brew wildly.

The silence was finally broken when Euijoo spoke up. Leaning his head against his shoulder. "I like this." Now Yixiang was the one speechless. He felt his tongue get tied up and his face heated up even more. Only able to choke out an "Mhhm!"

Euijoo held back his laugh was beyond him. Maybe it's because he understands the confusion and the great feeling this brought on. The night was too short though. It was time for Euijoo to leave but he was a little more reluctant to do so this time.

Before he could leave, Yixiang wrapped his arms around him tightly. Pulling him into a tight hug. That little warmth from earlier fully enveloped him.

His eyes fluttered shut as he embraced him as well. "I'll see you again soon. Take care." Euijoo couldn't help but feel a little teary this time. But he knew there would be consequences if he stayed too long.

"I will... take care Yixiang."

It was now time for the Harvest Moon festival and Euijoo was grateful he would be allowed to have a break tonight. One would think this time would be especially for the palace but it was the opposite really.

Granted the time after the festival would be hectic so he would gladly enjoy his break. Most people visited their families and loved ones that had come from Earth or spent time with friends.
