"YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO LOVE ME BUT YOU WERE USING ME INSTEAD!" she screamed, her voice cracking with the weight of her emotions. The snow globe that had once been a cherished keepsake lay shattered on the floor, its contents scattered like the remnants of her broken heart.

Mattie looked on with a pained expression, trying to offer comfort. "Baby, I do love you" she said softly, reaching out to her daughter.

"NO, YOU DON'T! I'M JUST A DOLL IN YOUR DOLLHOUSE!" Karen retorted, her voice filled with hurt and frustration. Her hands were trembling as she pointed to herself, her eyes glistening with unshed tears.

Mattie took a step closer, trying to bridge the gap between them. "No, you're not," she said firmly, though her voice wavered.

"YES, I AM!" Karen's voice rose to a near hysterical pitch. "YOU HATE ME! YOU'VE CHOSEN EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING OVER ME, YOUR BABY GIRL! WHAT DO I NEED TO DO... HUH? LOSE WEIGHT? START TALKING MORE OR NOT AT ALL? LEARN HOW TO PLAY THE ORGAN? LEARN HOW TO PREACH? WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO?"

Her voice broke as the raw pain in her words echoing through the room. "WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO BE ENOUGH FOR YOU?"

"Karen, I'm sorry if you feel that way. I never meant to make you feel like a doll in my dollhouse. You are your own person, not just an accessory in my life," Mattie replied, trying to calm her down. Karen wiped away her tears and looked at Mattie with a mixture of anger and hurt in her eyes. "Do you hate me because you didn't want me but thought if you had me daddy would stay?" Karen asked. Mattie froze, unable to respond, as Karen nodded, grabbed her jacket, and left. The weight of Karen's words lingered in the air, leaving Mattie feeling a mix of emotions - guilt, anger, and sadness. She knew she had to confront her own feelings and the impact of her actions on her daughter.

Karen walked with Drew as they went to the park. "You always this quiet?" Drew asked, and Karen nodded. "I-I have a question... am I pretty?" Karen asked, stopping in front of him. "And be honest, it won't hurt my feelings, I just need to know."

Drew looked at Karen with a soft smile and said, "Karen, you are not just pretty, you are absolutely beautiful. Inside and out." Karen blushed and smiled, looking down. "You playin'?" Karen asked. "No, you really are," Drew said, tucking a piece of Karen's hair behind her ear. That's when he saw the dark bruise that went from behind her ear towards the back of her neck. "What happened?" Drew asked. "Nothing," Karen said as she had begun to walk towards the park. Drew reached out and gently grabbed her arm, stopping her in her tracks. "Karen, please tell me what happened. You can trust me," he said softly, looking into her eyes with concern. "It's nothing, I'm fine," Karen said. Drew looked sympathetic but let her go. Karen forced a smile and walked away, trying to hide the pain she was feeling deep inside. She didn't want to burden Drew with her problems, even though she knew he cared about her.

Dorinda stared at the test in her hands, and before she could really process it, there was a bang on the door. She immediately threw the test away and opened the door, swallowing hard. "What the hell are you doing in there?" her boyfriend Greg asked, and she shook her head.

"Nothing, just... nothing," she stammered, trying to sound casual. Greg's eyes narrowed as he stepped closer and Dorinda could feel her heart racing. "Why are you acting so weird? What are you hiding?" Greg demanded, his tone becoming more aggressive. Dorinda's mind raced as she tried to come up with a plausible explanation. "I... I was just... I thought I heard something, that's all," she lied, her voice trembling. Greg's gaze lingered on her for a moment before he finally shrugged and walked away. Dorinda let out a shaky breath, relieved that he didn't press the issue further..

I was supposed to have had this out last week but I changed the plot twice for this story and three times for the Kierra story.😭😭
