Name: Duo
---
Physical Appearance
Duo is a lanky boy, slightly taller than the other children scattered throughout the twisted world of The Nowhere. His short, tousled black hair often falls in disheveled waves, with uneven bangs that slightly obscure his honey-brown eyes. Despite the gloom around him, his eyes retain a certain warmth, even though they've seen things no child should witness. His slender frame makes him adept at slipping through narrow spaces and hiding in the deep shadows that drape the monstrous world. He wears a black, torn long-sleeve shirt, once a protective layer, now ragged and worn from countless encounters. Over it, a green jacket—faded from its original vibrancy—serves as a reminder of whatever life he once had. It's too small in some places and too large in others, hinting that it might have belonged to someone else before him. His oversized white scarf wraps around his neck, hanging like a ghost of comfort from better days. Duo's brown pants, frayed at the hems, and black, well-worn shoes are his only constant companions in the ever-shifting nightmare. In addition to his appearance is a small, tarnished bell attached to his waist. Duo doesn't recall where he got it or why he keeps it close, yet it remains a constant companion, its faint jingles haunting his steps. He finds the sound oddly soothing, even though it could easily alert nearby dangers.

Personality
Duo carries himself with a snide air, masking fear and vulnerability beneath sarcastic remarks and a confident exterior. Though naturally clever, he's quick to use his wits to keep people at a distance, often relying on sharp retorts and a caustic tone to avoid forming bonds. Yet, under his snark lies a deep-seated need to connect. He tries to help others, even if begrudgingly, with his actions occasionally betraying his biting words. Duo is not without empathy; he is just too afraid to show it.However, despite this outward boldness, he is haunted by a near-constant paranoia, choosing to flee or hide when danger rears its head. He would rather watch from the shadows, calculating an escape, than confront the horrors head-on. While he exudes confidence, it's often a survival mechanism, a defense against the monsters far larger and more terrible than he is.
