A/N: Check out IctXkkr  ogcuphid premkikathaa's Abhay books, they slay, and so do their books!

" We won, we did it Tanvi, we won!" Abhishek's voice echoed in delight.

Tanvi softly chuckled over the other line.

" I'm so proud of you Abhay."

" Can I facetime you?" He asked,

He'd badly wanted Tanvi around during the Zimbabwe series,

Eshanya had come too, for Yashasvi, and although, the two of them insisted it was for showing the media how supportive a girlfriend is she, everyone knew what the truth was.

To his utter misfortune, Tanvi couldn't make it.

He tried not to show his disappointment,
but how couldn't he?

He desperately wanted her around when he had the biggest moments of life, when he experienced that joy, to share it with her.

" Uh...I can't really facetime right now Abhay. I'm so sorry."

" Oh..it's...it's okay." Abhishek tried wearing off the disappointment.

" Are you...out?" He asked, trying to figure out why.

" I am. I'm so sorry Abhay."

" It's okay Tanvi...you needn't apologise."

He frowned as her voice began breaking, and he suddenly couldn't make out what she was saying, it was too incohorent.

Bad network probably. He tried assuring himself.

" Tanvi? Are you there?"

To his utter disappointment, the call got cut and he sighed, his gaze flickering towards everyone else in the room.

Yashasvi was busy bickering with Eshanya, while she kept shooting him comical looks,

Shubman was typing away something on his phone with the widest of grins etched on his face, and Abhay didn't need anyone to tell him he was talking to Sara.

Dhruv was talking to his parents,

Riyan was scrolling through reels, unbothered.

And the rest committed men in the changing rooms were happily talking to their partners.

Letting out a dejected sigh, he slumped down on one of the chairs.

He did not hear the door open, or sense umpteen eyes flicker towards him.

He was just way too engrossed in his own world.

" Why's the sunshine not sunshine anymore?" Tanvi's melodious voice echoed and his head shot up, only to see her grin down at him.
