"Do you have a place to stay now, Doyoung? You can't stay here so if you don't, we have to put you in the children's home until you turn 18." The social worker was explaining to me.

I got out of the hospital after being there for one night. I had to go straight to the social worker's office.

"He can stay with me. I want him to." Jungwoo said from my other side. I told him I could go alone but he insisted on coming along. I turned to look at him a bit weirded out.

"Are you sure?" The sweet woman from the other side of the desk asked.

"Of course." He said and turned to look at me with a smile on his face.

"Well if that's the case then I'll leave it up to you. We will meet again next week, Doyoung. I also wanted to recommend this therapist to you, it would be really good to talk to someone." She replied.

"I already have someone to talk to. He's very caring and listens to me well. So thanks but I don't need it." I refused and glanced at the blonde next to me. It was him.

I said my goodbyes and left Jungwoo right behind me.

"Do you want to go straight to my dorm or pick up your stuff? Of course we don't need to go to your house right now if you're not ready to. I have clothes and stuff you can borrow." Jungwoo suggested.

"It's okay, I don't have that much stuff I need so it won't take long to pick them up. Can we get some food first though, pleaseeeeee?" I stared at him with puppy eyes. He nodded and grabbed my hand. He interlocked his fingers with mine. Cute.

We walked to the closest fast food place to eat before going to my house. I just hoped I really was ready to go there already. I wasn't too sure what to feel when I would enter the house.

-

I opened the front door to my house. I told Jungwoo to wait outside since it wouldn't take too long.

The mess was still there, obviously. The blood was stained to the carpet and the smell was even worse than when I came home that night.

Everything that had happened came back to my mind just like that. How drunk my mom was, how she hit me when I tried to help her. I held back my tears before running to my own room.

I grabbed a random bag and stuffed my stuff there including clothes and skincare products alongside my important things from my childhood.

I took everything I needed so I wouldn't need to return here. I didn't want to come back here. Ever.

I rushed back outside to the boy who was patiently waiting. He greeted me with his sunny smile. Without saying a word, I grabbed his hand and intertwined our fingers.

-

It was late at night and we had returned to the familiar dorm room. I was resting my head on the younger one's lap while he was concentrating on his game.

"Ah shit, I suck so bad at this I give up!" Jungwoo murmured and threw his phone to the other side of the bed. I laughed at the silly boy.

"Can we go out for a walk? I want some fresh air." I requested all of a sudden.

"Sure I think I need some too." He stated. I got up and checked the time. It was 9:53pm already.

"Put something warm on, it's pretty cold at this time." I reminded Jungwoo who was already putting his shoes on.

"Yeah, can you give me that blue hoodie over there?" He pointed at a blue piece of clothing that was hanging on the bathroom doorknob. It looked pretty familiar.

I grabbed it and looked at it for a while. Then I remembered. It was the hoodie Jungwoo had borrowed me the first night I spent here.

"Cute." The blonde boy said as he rested his head on my shoulder.

"What is?" I asked him although I already knew the answer. He just looked at me and grabbed the hoodie before heading outside. I went after him.

-

We were walking around the quiet neighborhood, holding hands and laughing at stupid stuff. We decided to head to the beach.

"Do you want the other one?" Jungwoo asked, handing me the other airpod when we reached the beach.

"I thought you'd never ask." I giggled and took it. I put it on my left ear as the other boy put it to his right so we could still hear each other.

"This is my favorite!" I said when Flawless by The Neighbourhood started playing.

"Mine too!" Jungwoo got excited.

It was great, just us two, listening to music and walking in the soft sand while the cool wind howled in the back and the waves slowly hit the coast.

-

We were lying on the ground and just enjoying the peace. We had put the airpods away to hear the calming sound of the ocean.

"Doyoung, I know you might not be ready, but if you ever need to talk about anything, I have two ears that listen." Jungwoo said after a long while and sat up. I turned to face him and also got up. The full moon shone on his face beautifully.

"Thank you." I said and smiled at him. The ocean wind messed up his hair, it looked cute.

"And also, I don't know what our relationship is right now, but if you're up to it, can I be your boyfriend?" He asked me with a slight shimmer in his eyes.

I looked at him for a little while before placing my hand on his neck and gently pulling him in for a kiss.

"Does that reply to your question well enough?"

"Might need another one, just to be sure."
