Over a Cup of Coffee

Her tiny palm held her Frappuccino.
Strawberry Cheesecake Frappe.

My eyes couldn't help but stare at her pinky.
Three rings with different designs.

"Akemi-chan."
I called her while she was taking a sip.

"*Nani?" She tilted her head.

My hands stretched out, "Try this."
I handed my coffee.

"Did you take a sip from it?"
She made sure this wouldn't steal her first kiss.

"No." I said honestly.

We walked out way back to my apartment.

She took a sip. "Bleh."
As usual, she couldn't handle the bitter.

I opened my door and made her go in first.

"Uh..." She started wobbling.
"W-What did you put..."

Before she could hit the floor, I caught her in my arms.

My reflection revealed my emotions,
as the pool of coffee spread on the floor.
