Elkantar, Venonis, Very'll Wenkiir, and Astarion sat down at Ketheric Thorm's dining room table for dinner. The three except Astarion were all Drow, and their group was immediately given a scornful look by Grant and Tyriel.
Anluryn, who was not a Lolth - sworn Drow, unlike Elkantar and Venonis, looked at them. Satarma, a Tiefling Bard, glanced over at their group. Rodon and Xireth, who were two slightly evil Githyankis, looked at them.
Elkantar had to bite his tongue to keep it all in. He, Very'll, Astarion, and Venonis had done some excruciatingly evil deeds, all because they had sided with Minthara. Astarion sighed, at the dinner. They had to hide what they had done from everyone else at the table.
Finally, Ketheric Thorm sat down, looking pleasantly content. "Alright. Welcome to my home, and dinner, we shall have" he said. They all began eating, not talking at first. Then, Minthara sat down. Elkantar breathed in his glass of water and coughed. Minthara had better not tell everyone that they had sided with her. Elkantar and Very'll were not as evil as Venonis.
Just then, Minthara said it. "Elkantar and Venonis, you sided with the Absolute. Everyone, say a warm welcome to Elkantar, Venonis, Very'll, and Astarion. They are with the Absolute". Ketheric set his fork down and smiled. "Are they, now?" He asked, and Elkantar's throat threatened to choke him. He coughed, gasping for air. "Are you alright?" Very'll asked. Elkantar started panicking for air as he continued coughing and choking. "You're alright, breathe, darling" Astarion said, although his face showed worry. Finally, his throat relaxed, and he could breathe again. "I'm fine" he said, and continued eating. "That's good. We can't lose one of our members to a choking fit" Ketheric said.
All of a sudden, the front door opened, and Halsin, Karlach, and all of the Tiefling Refugees, who were now undead zombies, came in. Karlach and Halsin were furious. "Elkantar and Venonis, put your hands up!" Karlach shouted angrily. Ketheric stood up. "What is going on?" He yelled. "YOU" Halsin said angrily, as Elkantar had a longbow that was inches from his face when he stood up and turned around. He couldn't back up into the table anymore. "Please, I didn't want to" he gasped. "Silence!" Halsin yelled. Astarion and Very'll got up. "All of these Refugees are now undead, because of you! Don't you see what you have done?" Karlach screamed.
Venonis folded her arms across her chest, as Karlach sobbed. Dammon and Zevlor, who were now undead, cried as well. A tear fell down Elkantar's face. "Where are Gale and Wyll?" Halsin demanded. Elkantar took a stiff breath. "We left Gale to die in the Sigil, and...and Wyll also died" he said quietly, as tears ran slowly down his face. Halsin looked over at the Tieflings. "Did you take their lives?" He asked, raising his bow. "Well, kind of" Astarion blurted out. Very'll and Elkantar looked at him.
"Elkantar, is it? Don't look at him, he won't save you. Turn again, and this arrow is going through your carotid artery. Drow" Halsin said sternly. "There is nothing that you can do. We are evil, and I don't care" Venonis said, as Karlach kept crying in her hands at Venonis's coldness. Finally, she looked at her, breathing hard. "Did it make you feel big, huh? Did it make you feel IMPORTANT?" She shouted, gasping. "Yes, it did" Venonis said. Elkantar closed his eyes. His wife was near merciless with power. The only mercy that Venonis had was for Elkantar, and that mercy was only because he was a living thing. She had no mercy for him other than when he had to swallow his disgusting purple Drow liquid every night out of a chalice to prove his loyalty to Lolth and his wife. He could barely swallow it due to it's thickness, and it's grittiness coated his throat after.
"Alright, wait a minute. Before you blast us with arrows, I have a question" Very'll said. "Us? You were with them?" Halsin asked angrily. "Wait" Very'll said, holding up his hand. "I'm not done talking yet, Druid" he said, and took a breath. "My patience is draining" Halsin threatened. "I said...wait" Very'll said. Halsin looked at Karlach. "Speak" he barked. "If you were dead, how are you here?" Very'll asked. "I was never dead. And before you speak another word, you will know my fury!" Halsin shouted angrily, and before Very'll could stop him, he shot the arrow. It missed Very'll's head by an inch. Halsin lowered his bow angrily. "You do still have mercy" Very'll said, breathing hard and smiling. He had sweaty breath from that. "I have the amount of mercy that is but about by an inch left. And it won't be anymore if you keep breathing" Halsin said, angrily. Very'll held up his hands. "Alright, alright. Lower the bow" he said. His voice and his manner had an unusual way of forcing others to listen. Elkantar swallowed hard. Very'll may have let them all live with their heads, and he was grateful. Halsin stared at Very'll, heated. "Why should I trust you?" He asked, glaring. Very'll was calm, but stiff. "I said, lower your bow. Set it on the ground" he said. "I asked you a question. You don't have to answer me if you want this arrow delivered to your throat" Halsin threatened. Unfortunately, Very'll made the confrontation longer than expected, and Halsin's fury was back moments later. Elkantar inhaled and interrupted, desperate with his stomach hurting and he was visibly sweating. "Please, let us live" he burst out, and Halsin turned to face him. "You. Be quiet" he said sternly, and Elkantar started breathing hard and trembling. "So, do you want to drop your weapon and let me speak, or..." Very'll's head hit the wall as Halsin shot the second arrow. Very'll held up his hands. "Have it your way, then. Instead of me speaking in a gentle, slow voice, there can be blood. I don't mind. I crawled out of the Fugue Planes to get my revenge. It seems you're with the Absolute" Very'll said, before the creepy face he had turned into an even creepier smile, and Elkantar gasped. "VERY'LL, NO!" he screamed, before arrows flew through the air. Elkantar ran and threw Very'll out of harm's way, before Halsin could get his revenge for saying that.
Just then, Lae'zel came in, and the door slammed. When Elkantar saw her, he swallowed. "Lae'zel" Rodon said, and stood up. He and Xireth were friends with Lae'zel. "Why are they here? Alive?" Lae'zel glowered at the four of them. "What do you mean? They are being questioned for their actions" Ketheric said, from the end of the table.
Very'll and Elkantar were underneath Ketheric's dining table, screaming and yelling at each other. "Why did you stop me?" Very'll shouted, gasping for breath. "I saved your life!" Elkantar screamed back. "And I was about to do him in! You shouldn't have stopped me! I didn't ask for my life to be saved! The Absolute already killed me! Once!" Very'll screamed, gasping for breath and they started fighting and wrestling under the table. They started smacking each other, and everyone's glasses of water were shaking on the table, as the table was moving from their fight they were having. Ketheric was confused. Everyone was silent. "Very'll, it doesn't have to be this way! I'm sorry!" Elkantar gasped. "You're sorry? Sorry that you STOPPED ME? COME HERE!" Very'll shouted, rushed forward, and grabbed Elkantar's neck with his arms, trying to headlock him. "What are you doing, stop!" Elkantar gasped, struggling to breathe. He had no choice but to lift himself up, and Very'll banged his head under the table and screamed, then fell off of him. Elkantar gasped for air, coughing and choking. Very'll was strong for a Ranger. "Agh! My god, you spineless Drow!" Very'll screamed, holding his head with his hands and gasping for breath. "What is going on, under there? My gods" Astarion said. They kept yelling and fighting each other, until they were so exhausted they couldn't keep fighting and so out of breath neither of them could speak. Finally, they got out from underneath the table, looking worse for wear. Very'll stumbled everywhere as he tried to get up. Elkantar tried to catch his breath. His face stung where Very'll had smacked the living daylight out of him. "Very'll, you don't have to fight me. I don't know why you smacked me until I was blue and purple. I saved you from Halsin taking your life, and...and that's what you need to realize" he said, once he had calmed down. Very'll bent over, holding his jaw from their argument. He had a red mark across his cheek. "And that's what I need to know?" He asked, smiling. "We got into a fight under the table, and you want me to THANK YOU for saving my life. I was about to get my revenge. I want my revenge on the Absolute" he said. "Halsin isn't with the Absolute" Elkantar said. "And how would you know? You're Lolth-Sworn. How would I ever believe you?" Very'll asked. "My wife forced me to be evil. It's not what I want" Elkantar said. "So, you're going to blame Venonis, for what you did. For what you chose to do. I should rip your throat out. Come here!" Very'll shouted, and lunged for Elkantar's throat. He shook Elkantar back and forth hard, until Lae'zel intervened. "Enough! Schk'aketh!" She shouted angrily, and Very'll let go of Elkantar's shoulders. Lae'zel saw Elkantar and forced him to answer her.
"And what happened at the Cre'che?" She asked, as she held up her sword to Elkantar's throat. "I believe you know the answer, gai'th" she said, and Elkantar swallowed. He couldn't face her. "Alright, hold on! He's with me" Astarion said. Venonis shouted, "All of your people called us Ich'tik while we were there! I WILL NOT be known as an ICH'TIK!".
Lae'zel was silent for a moment. "Then you will bow to my blade" she said, and removed it from Elkantar's jaw, glaring him down. She went to Venonis. "Kneel" Lae'zel commanded. "No, I will not, gai'th" Venonis said sternly, and that infuriated Lae'zel. "Then you will meet your end" Lae'zel said.
