It was Christmas morning, the kids had just got done opening their gifts. William had allowed them to invite any guest they wanted over, while Chris played in his room with the new toys he had gotten. Their fathers were in the kitchen cooking...well, Vincent was cooking, William was his personal taste tester for all the food he made, so far.
"That one's a little too sweet." Ge said licking the spoon. Vincent washed it off and grabbed a lemon, squeezing it into the mixture and giving a good mix. He put the the spoon back into William's mouth, at last getting a delighted 'mmm' sound.
"That's better."
Vincent gave a soft smile to William, going back to what he was doing. William enjoyed tasting the food until he got bored and his hunger grew. He did everything he could possibly thing to do. Files, cleaning, showering, but it wasn't enough. When he went back into the kitchen he saw his husband sitting in a chair and eating a bag of chips.
Vincent looked up. "Yes?"
William walked closer to Vincent and sat on his lap, feeling his husband rap his arms around his waist and kiss him on the neck. "I'm just really bored. I have nothing to do." Vincent nodded and thought for a minute, pausing the show on his phone.
"Maybe you could bake their cake."
"You said I wasn't allowed to use the over anymore."
"That was a year ago.."
William got up excitedly, watching Vincent grab a box, handing him the store-bought mixture. "Um, how do I start?"
"Read the instructions, William." William looked the side embarrassed, placing his eyes back on the written arts on the box that was placed on the back. He got all the things he needed, setting on the counter. William tended to make a mess everytime he baked, so Vincent was tailing him with a paper towel and spray.
"Okay, Vincent, we can worry about cleaning after I finish cooking." Vincent sighed and put his cleaning things back. "Okay, you can continue."
Vincent hummed and watched William make the icing, licking the spoon once he finished. Vincent turned the oven on the 350° and set the cake in there while William told the kids to be in the kitchen by 7:00.
Vincent smiled softly and put his hands around William's waist, making the shorter one melt into his embrace. "Tired?" Vincent asked running his hair through his husbands hair.
"A little. More hungry, tho." The dark-brown man chuckled and sat William down in his seat, kissing his neck gently but hungrily. William let out a soft moan and put his hand on the side of Vincent's face. Vincent chuckled and continued teasing William, Landing more rough kisses on his neck, now.
As soon as Vincent heard footsteps coming to the kitchen, he kissed his husbands cheek and sat down beside him, enjoying the whining sound he gave. "Dad, what're we eating?" Michael asked sitting beside his boyfriend. "You'll see when you get the plate-" William was busy gathering himself from the intense moment they just had, pissed that Vincent has such good control over himself.
After a few minutes everyone had received their share of food, talking, playing or just sitting in silence and enjoying the tastes going on their tongues. Everyone was done eating after a few and went back to their room, forgetting about the cake in the oven. Luckily, Vincent got it before it burned and set it on a pan mat (those round-shaped things that you put ur hot pan on, idk look it up.) and fan it for a few.
"It tastes good, Liam." Vincent said taking a small spoonful of the chocolate cake. "Ok it does, cause I'm like that." Vincent chuckled softly and looked at William who was more than happy that his cooking tasted nice. "Try some, you made it."
"Don't mind if I do." William got up and grabbed and fork, taking half the cake and putting it in his mouth. "Damn- you took bout the whole cake!-" Vincent said looking at William in disbelief. "Sorry, it tastes really good, tho." Vincent wiped the sides of his partners mouth and lovingly watched him eat almost all the cake.
Time skip
William woke up in his room, thinking about how his husband must've put him there cause he remembered sleeping in the living room on accident after watching a movie with the whole family. He sat up and pulled his legs off the bed and stretched his limbs out and yawned, rubbing the back of his neck as he got up and went to the bathroom to get ready for the day. He took a shower, brushed his teeth, washed his face and came out to see Vincent waking up.
"Morning, hubby." William said sitting next to Vincent and rapping his arms around him. "How'd you sleep?" Vincent rested his head on Williams shoulder and sighed. "I slept good.." William liked when Vincent was too tired to be the big spoon, he loved embracing his husband like this in the morning. "Okay, how about you get ready and we can take Chris shopping, don't forget tomorrow's his birthday." "I would never forget something so important." Vincent said getting out of bed lazily and walking into the bathroom, locking the door behind him.
After a few minutes Vincent came out of the bathroom and stretched, brushing his hand through his hair and fluffing it slightly. "Is Chris ready, love?" Vincent asked pecking in Chris' room. "Yeah, were ready to go now." Vincent smiled at Chris and took his hand, surprised to see the shorter one so excited.
They walked around in the store, looking around and letting Chris go around and look for whatever he wanted. William rested his head on Vincent's shoulder and rapped his hands around his arm. The taller man ran his hand through his husbands hair and smiled softly and the relaxed look his husband gave him. "This Jewelry looks like it'd look good on you."
Vincent said pointing at a golden necklace with white pearls for pattern. William walked over to it excitedly and took the necklace in his hand. "It does look good. Exactly what I was looking for." William set the bracelet in the little bag Vincent was carrying around and looked around the whole section.
"Can you go find Chris for me?" William asked looking through the more affordable section of the jewelry. Vincent nodded and went on a search for their little boy. He saw him crouching down to grab something. "You ready to go, buddy?" He picked up Chris and put him on his shoulders, holding him by his legs. Chris laughed softly but happily, covering Vincent's eyes every now and then.
They got back to see William talking to a lady behind the counter, putting the jewelry on the counter. Vincent walked over to him and gave him a small peck, while William ran his hair through Chris' hair. "That'll be a total of &4,550." William pulled his wallet out of his pocket and set the money on the counter, taking the jewelry as it was handed back to him.
"You had fun, little one?" Chris looked up from playing with his toy and nodded, looking back down and occupying himself. William sighed and looked outside the window, resting his chin in the palm of his hand. He felt a hand go on his thigh and smiled, placing his on top of it. Vincent ribbed William's thumb and smiled.
"I love you, sweetheart." William cheesed widely and covered his mouth. "I love you too, Hubby."
The end.
