The white ground crunch against his thick boots as he walks along the forest, making sure he also doesn't stray away from home. That would be dangerous, especially in this world's condition. "I think that's enough," he says as he makes his way back to the apartment. As the young man walks through, holding his shovel for protection while walking through the streets. Apartment 203-220, glad we picked the 205th room...he ascends to the hallway to room 205.
Looking around around, he checks if there is anything there then raises his left arm to know on the door. "Um..it's me! I'm back, " he nervously called out. Shoveling and other noises could be heard from inside the room, then. Something that sounded like furniture - maybe a table or couch - was being moved, and a click, click, click Echoed inside the room. "You're back, yasu? You didn't get bitten, did you?.." the lady that appeared behind the door spoke. "Im fine. I don't think there were even any zombies out there.." yasu replied.
"How much did you find?" The woman asked.
"Only 3 logs and five sticks," Yasu responds
"That'll probably only last a week..."
"Don't worry, jiko, I gather some paper and other stuff to burn..just in case," yasu assured his cousin.
Taking off his boots and after locking the door back up, he sat in the living room where jiko was. "Hey? Do you think we'll be able to find your mom and dad? I mean, it's been a couple of weeks." Jiko whispered. "Im hoping that they didn't get infected."
Yasu stayed silent, remembering what happened. "I hope they're safe too." He softly mumbled.
