Within the huge fleet of ships of the Yaoqing, a small lieutenant could be seen wandering through - clueless.
"I should go to the other five Flagships more often, they're all so different to the Luofu! If I don't deliver this letter on time, I'll disappoint General Jing Yuan!!"
Yanqing zipped across the Luofu streets, accidentally angering a few local Foxians in the meantime. Yanqing looked quite annoyed, as he wasn't sure if flying on his swords would break any laws he was unaware of, but it wasn't worth testing if it meant any further delays. He looked towards the grounds and wondered;
"I would've thought finding Feixiao would be a walk in the park considering her very... Out there appearance. But when the majority of the Yaoqing citizens are Foxians, it certainly makes my job a lot harder. Eugh, keep it together Yanqing!"
As he looked back up, a pink-haired Foxian was seen in front of him - however, Yanqing's speed was too quick to break his motion.
CRASH
Luckily the Foxian's fluffy tail reduced the impact of Yanqing's fall by a bit, however, Yanqing's face quickly became red and flustered.
"Ah! I'm incredibly sorry sir! I didn't mean to crash into you, it was all an accident I swear!"
The man then turned around, saying nothing. His eyes were completely closed, but somehow Yanqing felt like the man was seeing straight into him.
"Ah... It's quite alright young man. If it's not too much to ask, why were you in such a hurry?"
Yanqing hesitated for a moment, wondering if he should disclose his purpose. However, if this Foxian somehow knew the whereabouts of Feixiao, it would make matters a lot easier.
"Well, you see I have a letter for General Feixiao from General Jing Yuan. It's quite urgent, so-"
Suddenly, Yanqing was interrupted by the Foxian's remark.
"Ah! General Feixiao! What a coincidence, I was actually about to meet up with her right now for some hot pot. You should join us young man."
Yanqing's face then brightened. Oh yeah, I've hit the jackpot! Who knows how much longer I would be aimlessly wandering around if not for him.
"That's sounds great, however I don't want to intrude on your private lunch session with General Feixiao. If you're having lunch with her of all people, you must be an important person!"
The Foxian then waved his fingers, indicating Yanqing to follow him. Yanqing followed quickly behind, but was growing more and more curious of this mysterious Foxian.
"Trust me, I'm nothing special. I'm just a mere healer, who happens to dabble in some cooking. If you're wondering about my relationship to Feixiao... Well I'm just her doctor. Nothing less, nothing more."
"Her doctor?" Yanqing wondered. "I wonder what's she's diagnosed with?"
"Well, enough about me! What about you, young man? Wait, let me guess, Jing Yuan's mail boy?"
Yanqing's teeth then grated together, staring at the strange man.
"No, actually, I am Yanqing. The Lieutenant of the Cloud Knights and General Jing Yuan's retainer!"
"Wow, you have quite the titles there... Yanqing. Actually, I've think I've heard of you before, from Feixiao. Jing Yuan and her are practically texting buddies when they're not busy, and Feixiao in particular is such a chatter-box. I particularly remember one time where she spat out her drink, laughing after reading a text message from Jing Yuan. It was about how once when you were sword training, you accidently threw your towards towards a birds nest - angering the mother. Afterwards, apparently a flock of birds came down to you and dragged you up in the sky - to who knows where. Jing Yuan didn't elaborate on that, but now that I'm with you here in person, I'm quite curious to know the ending of that story."
