The night storm

Aurora pov

I was sleeping nice and peacefully until I heard a loud rumbling sound that I knew all too well, thunder. I woke up and walked to the window to see if I was correct or not and I was.

It was a bad storm, the wind was howling and blowing crazlie and the white streaks flash across the sky with thunder following it. The one thing that I was always scared of, was nights storms, I am okay with the one's during the day, they are not as bad as the one's at night.

The reason why I am afraid of night storms is beacuse of my mother, she would always bring me outside when thunderstorms happen at night and make me stand in it until it was done or when light started to show.

When I heard the next loud thunder, I went straight to my bed and hid under the blankets like a child well I guess its better than hidding under the bed.

It turned quiet for a bit and I didn't  expect it when I heard thunder again but is time louder than the rest, and when that started I gave a little scream. I didn't expect anyone to come check on me but then the door went quickly open and I saw Alexander, in grey sweatpants and no shirt with bed head, it was defently a sight to see.

Alexander pov

I just fell back to sleep when I heard a scream. I woke up once when the storm first began but fell back to sleep. When I heard that scream I knew it was Aurora so I ran out of my room and into her's not caring about how I looked with my bed head, and me being shirtless.

When I got into her room I noticed she was coverd up in blankets, shaking out of fear. I walked up to her bed and sat down "hey Aurora, everything is going to be alright" I say as I try to calm her down.

After a little bit of trying to calm her down I tried to think of other ways as my wolf whimpers of helplessness.
I did the only thing left to think of, I rapped my arms around her bringing her into a hug.

The hug seemed to work as I put my chin on her head, I stayed like that for while until I noticed her even breathing. I looked at her sleeping peacefully than tried to get up but as soon as I tried Aurora snuggled into me more, I smiled at this and decided to stay here.

I looked out the window from the bed it was still thunder and lightning out but at least Aurora is sleeping through it. After 20 minutes I got out of bed to use the bathroom and once I was finished I heard Aurora. I quickly got out of the bathroom and ran to her side of the bed "Aurora wake up its just a nightmare" I tell her as I hold her close to me.

Aurora's pov

I woke up too someone holding me and talking, when I opened my eyes I saw Alexander looking at me, it was quiet with just me and Alexander staring at each other it wad peaceful until more thunder came.

I thought I would of freaked out or something luke that but I didn't when Alexander is holding me I don't feel any fear all I feel is peace and I liked it and I don't want that to ever leave, I want to stay with Alexander and I hope things work out and I hope I am strong enough to protect Alexander from my mother once she comes for me and I know that she will.

"You are afriad of storms" Alexander asks, I look away from him as I reply "yes I am" Alexander grabs my chin gently and makes me look at him "hey there is nothing to be ashamed of, I know some day you will tell me how you got so afraid of storms and it can wait until you are ready" I look into his eyes and smile "thank you" I respond.

Alexander gives me a smile and say's "Aurora you are my mate I will always be here for you and you can tell me anything" He say's and I believe he is right all I can see in his eyes after he said that is truth.

I take a deep nervous breath while I look into his eye's, I was always hard for me to tell others about these kind of things because in my old cult they do not care about you. You always have t0o hide your feelings away and thats how it always was.

"When I was younger durning storms at night, my mother would always make me go outside and stand there until the storm stopped or when it got lighter out, she always said it was part of a witch trail for the next leader of the cult but my fear wasin't that bad until one night it was a very bad storm, it was really windy, worse than all the other times, and when I was standing there I started to shake in fear afraid that I wouldn't survive and ever since that day I always been afraid"

After I said that, Alexander brought me into a hug "You will never have go through anything like that ever again" I look up at him and smile than I looked at the window and noticed it stopped raining "looks like it stopped raining I should go get some more sleep" Alexander looks at the window than back at me before he replies "I think that is a good idea goodnight Aurora"

Just as Alexander was about to get up, I grabbed him than kissed his cheek "goodnight Alex" I replied with a small  smile than I watched him walk out of my room qnd closed the door behind him.

After that I laid back down on my bed, put the blanket over me and closed my eyes to fall into a deep sleep.
