Hermione had spotted Neville, Luna and Seamus at a table near her, relieved to finally have a break, she approached her old friends. Armed with an empty chair, she arrived at the three of them and sat down at the table. "Hey everyone." Three smiling faces greeted her. "Hermione, good to see you. How are you?" Neville was the first to speak. Hermione sat with them for a long time, they had a really nice conversation about the old days and how they had all been after school. Neville was studying Herbology, Luna was on a research trip in Cambodia and Seamus had got engaged to Dean. He did say Dean was a bit sickly, which was why he hadn't come to the wedding, but Hermione couldn't shake the feeling that it might also be because Ginny was his ex-girlfriend.

Hermione was happy for all three of them, it was nice to see how everyone had found their own way and was happy.

While Luna raved about the wedding, Hermione looked around. It was getting late, the tent had already emptied a little, George was still dancing wildly with Angelina on the dance floor and Ginny was snuggling up to her new husband, dancing slowly. Hermione had to smile at the sight. "Oh it's so nice to see them both today, they're radiating so much positivity today, it fills the whole room, making it shimmer so beautifully," Luna commented in her dreamy voice. Seamus had to stifle a laugh after that statement, Neville just looked confused. "Ah, yes Luna. Right..." was the only thing Hermione could manage. Her salvation, even if she wouldn't like to admit it, was Ron, who had just joined them at the table. "Hey guys, good to see you..." Hermione immediately sensed that strange atmosphere between them again, it had become much less than it had been two years ago, but it hadn't disappeared completely, even if they did run into each other more often, for better or worse, because for Molly she was still part of the family. "Hermione, do you want to go dancing?" She looked at Ron, somewhat perplexed by this question. How long had she been lost in thought that this question suddenly came up? Quite flabbergasted, she answered him, "ah... Yeah, okay, sure, why not."

As she stood in front of Ron on the dance floor, she was a little overwhelmed by the situation. He took her hand somewhat awkwardly and placed the other on her hip, then they began to dance a slow waltz. It went so... moderately. The conditions weren't quite fair either, because her last dance partner had been George and he was practically born to dance. As they swayed carefully back and forth, Ron took the floor, "Okey, I can't dance I know. I just wanted to talk to you. It's still so weird between us and I want to finally put it behind us." Hermione stopped and looked at him, she didn't think he would say that, but Ron is often underestimated. "Yes, you're right. I guess so. It's so stupid. Why can't we just go back to being good friends like we always were?" "Yeah, I want that too, but why doesn't it work properly?" That was the question she kept asking herself, why wasn't it like it was before? "Good question, if that's what we both want. Do you still have any feelings for me?" Ron blushed a little at the question, it wasn't the most pleasant one after all."Please don't take offense, but no, I haven't feelings for you anymore. I... ahm... have a girlfriend you know," Hermione was about to say something, but Ron didn't stop. "Well, not for long, that's why I didn't bring her today. Maybe you remember her from school, Demelza Robins." "Wasn't she on the Gryffindor Quidditch team?""Yeah right, that one," Ron turned even redder, if that was possible.

"Wow, I'm really glad Ron," Hermione pulled him into a hug. When she let go of him, she realized that she hadn't done that for a long time and her cheeks turned a little pink. "And you?" Ron asked cautiously. "Me what? I don't have a partner, or what do you mean?" "Yeah... No... I'm talking about the feelings," he stuttered a little nervously. Hermione looked into the eyes of the man with whom she had experienced so much, with whom she had been friends for so long. "Please don't hold this against me, but I don't have any feelings for you anymore either." "Puuuuh, perfect. Then I don't see a problem," this time he pulled her into a hug with a grin. "So everything's fine again?" he asked her again to confirm. "Sure, and now you've already dragged me here, so let's dance again, please. The two of them resumed their dancing posture and began to take careful steps again. As they did so, they talked about everything that had happened in the last two years, how Ron had got together with Demelza and what was going on in Hermione's life when Ron suddenly asked, "You don't have anything going on with George, do you? Not that that's a bad thing, but you haven't, have you?" From his tone, Hermione thought it might not be 'not a bad thing' after all, but she grinned and said no. "No, Ron.We're just friends. We were there for each other when we both needed someone and we're still there now.You haven't noticed that George has been dancing with Angelina for four hours, have you?" She couldn't help giggling."It's okay, it's okay..."The dance was over and Hermione was about to ask if Ron wanted to dance another round with her when she was interrupted.

"May I take the fair lady for a dance?"Hermione looked around at the voice and looked into two warm brown eyes that were looking at her with a pleading look. These beautiful brown eyes were looking at her with a warm pleading look.Caught off guard by the situation, she didn't manage to answer him directly.

"Please Hermione, just one dance."
