Hey everyone! I'm excited to announce that I'm finally posting my story on Wattpad, so I'll be updating both here and on AO3. I hope you all enjoy it! Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments, and I'll do my best to reply to each one. Lots of love! - Moxxie
Being with Stanley was the happiest time of your life—a memory you'll always treasure. Despite the 40-year age gap between you, you made up for it with your humor and the way you brought joy to his life.
It all began when you were working the night shift at the Mystery Shack. Your boss, Soos, had been kind enough to let you stay with him and his wife while you searched for a place to stay. You mostly cleaned up after the tours ended, enjoying the quiet that followed.
But one night, while you were cleaning, you heard a noise outside the door. Someone was trying to get in. Anxiety washed over you as you realized you were alone; Soos and his wife were out on a date. Summoning all your courage, you grabbed a broom and positioned yourself by the door, ready to defend yourself. The door creaked open, and without hesitation, you swung the broom, striking the intruder on the head.
"OW!" the man groaned, falling to his knees from the blow. His face was obscured as he clutched his head in pain.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?" you demanded, still holding the broom, ready to strike again.
"I'm the owner of this shack! Well, ex-owner, but still the owner!" he replied, starting to stand. As he lifted his head, you finally got a good look at him, and wow—he was definitely your type. Those big muscles, that rugged face, the gold chain glinting in the light coming outside from the window, and that chest hai—"Hey, kid, if you want, you can take a picture; it might last longer," he smirked.
Embarrassed, you realized you'd been staring, and your face flushed. But then it hit you—Soos had often talked about his former boss. "Wait, are you Stanley Pines? The old Mr. Mystery that Soos keeps telling me about?" you asked, shocked.
"The one and only," he replied, looking smug, his smile making your heart race.
"I'm sorry. No one told me anyone was coming, so I thought you were a burglar or something," you apologized, lowering the broom to show your sincerity.
"Hey, it's okay, kid. I'm built tough, so this is nothing," he said, grinning as if he hadn't just been whacked on the head. His smile made your heart pound even harder, and to avoid the awkwardness, you let him explore the shack, figuring Soos would be okay with it since he was the ex-owner.
As you continued cleaning, you noticed Stan seemed bored, so he struck up a conversation with you. You couldn't deny that you enjoyed his company—his dad jokes, that contagious laugh, and those muscles. My god, what would it feel like to have those arms around your neck? "STOP LUSTING AFTER THIS MAN," you mentally scolded yourself.
After finishing up, you headed upstairs, saying, "I'm going to bed now. Goodnight, Mr. Pines." You smiled at him.
"Please, call me Stan, kid. And goodnight to you too," he replied, returning your smile.
As you lay down, you couldn't stop thinking about that smile, and eventually, you drifted off to sleep, thoughts of Stan filling your dreams.
