Before the Divorce

Nora Continued to argue with Calvin

Nora : Why don't you listen to me? Please, you have to stop drinking alcohol... You are going to be sick again...

Calvin : Look... Stop nagging me

Nora : it's not nagging! I'm trying to protect you, protect you from not getting sick...

Calvin knows that Nora cares for him.. but at the other side he doesn't what to stop either his business or his habits even if it lead him to death

Nora : Calvin..., are you even listening... Pls...

Calvin : I can't dear..., please understand me

Nora : You should understand me Calvin... I been begging you to stop since the doctor announced you about your disease... I'm trying to save you ...

Calvin : why don't you just leave me alone!

Nora paused... Tears started to roll from her eyes...

Nora : Yes... Why am I even caring about you huh?... I'm your WIFE! I do care for you till my death! I don't want to see my husband suffer infront of me!

Calvin felt guilty... He didn't wanted to see Nora cry... But.. for her sake... He thought of a lie...

Calvin : look... I don't need you anymore...

Nora was surprised...

Nora : h..huh?

Calvin : yes you heard it right... I don't love you... Since the day you kept nagging me... I hated you

Nora raised her voice...

Nora : Oh... So i shouldn't take care of you huh!

Calvin : No! Just. Let. Me. Die!

In no minute Nora gave him a slap
Calvin face was sided by her slap and he accepted the slap from her

Nora : I love you... How can...how can you just say that huh!?...

Calvin : Just leave me alone

Nora couldn't bear all his hurtful words and...

Nora : ok..., ok..., i need divorce

Calvin was surprised... He expected her to just leave alone and not totally alone from his life

Calvin : wait wait Nora.. pls.. pls no...

Calvin held Nora's hand but Nora pulled her hands away from him

Nora : dont touch me!

Calvin : please dear... I didn't meant that... Please...

Nora : it's enough! I need divorce right now!

Calvin hugged her tightly

Calvin : no no... please... Please darling I'm sorry, i will stop everything i promise...pls

But Nora refused his pleas and pulled after from his huh

Nora : dont touch me! I hate you! And I don't need you!

Calvin was stubborn to listen and Nora was always stubborn and refused to accept his sorry...

As Calvin had the heart issue, in his middle of the pleading he was having slow breathing... Nora noticed that...

Nora was surprised knowing what that means...

Nora cupped his face into her hand

Nora : stop panicking! Stop!

Calvin tried to be calm but he couldn't... He clutched his shirt as if he was holding his heart to not raise... And it was hard for him to breathe...

Nora immediately went into the kitchen, grabbed the glass of water and the pills and handed it to Calvin

Calvin swallowed the pill and drank the water...

In a few minutes... Calvin stayed calm... Nora sighed...

Calvin : Nora...

Nora : No..., see... This is why... I want divorce... So you can be alone... Without my interruption...

Calvin noticed the concern in her eyes... It was all his mistake for not listening to her... And he started to compromise himself to say yes to divorce... He thought Nora would at least be happy without any tensions and stress if they are divided

Calvin : Ok... I will... Divorce...

Nora looked at him.. she felt sad and guilt... But she felt relieved that she's going to be away from this stress...

_A few days later_

As we signed for the divorce...

Nora : good bye...

Calvin : bye...

Nora just left the place without looking at his face... But Calvin... He stood there for minutes... He still worn the marriage ring... And he kept staring at the ring... And he had a few tears...

Calvin : i... love you.. Nora...
