Our Encounter || D.M. x Reader

𝟏.𝟐 || 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝟗 ¾

I got my wand and waited for my brother outside Ollivander's. As soon as I spotted him, I saw him holding a cat, it was a Siamese. After that, we went to Madam Malkin's Robes, and bought my gloves, robes and uniform.

And once I've gotten everything that I needed me and my brother went home.

Today was finally September 1, I woke up earlier than usual, got ready and grabbed my things, then our father drove us to the station.

When me and my brother finally arrived in Platform 9 4/3, he told me that he'll go to his friends after he showed me where the first years sat in the train.

I decided to look for an empty area and sit there. Suddenly a girl, with short, darkish brown, wavy hair asked if she could sit with me.

"Excuse me, do you mind if I sit here?"

"Oh, I don't mind, you can sit here."

"I'm Alice, Alice Dawnshuan," She moved her hand forward for a hand shake and I gladly shook her hand. "So, what's your name?" She asked me.

"Y/N Arqueli." I replied. This girl seems to be so bubbly, and more to be on the extroverted side.

Once the train started to move, she talked about her goals, to keep us entertained.

"I really love helping my mum in her little bakery, I'd always wake up early and started kneading the dough. Also I've been doing some advance reading whenever I have time just to be ready. I also plan of probably working for the Ministry of Magic once I'm old enough."

And I noticed how hardworking she could be, and how she already planned everything for her future. I think she might be sent to Hufflepuff. ..She then asked me what liked to do.

"Well, I uh. Practice my control of the magic, read everything I need to know, and.."

"And..?"

Is it going to sound embarrassing if I say 'I try to see if I can perform magic without a wand in hand'?

"Archery, I do archery. I practice, for aim. You know- maybe when trying to fight using our wands, the aim could be helpful."

"Wicked... Speaking of wands, ..you've been practicing?"

"Daily, it's basically a routine."

"So, your parents got you a wand even before Hogwarts?"

"My mother let me use her old wand, she started teaching me and giving me tips when using the wand when I was eight. She figured that I should be advance so it'll be easier for me once school starts."

"Do you have a new wand or are you using the wand your mother gave you?"

"I got myself a new one, new core, better material?"

"That's really smart of you, studying advance and all of that preparation, amazing. I've only gotten my wand a few days ago, I have an Hazel wand. How about you?"

"I have a Vine wand."

Later on, I heard Hermione tell a boy named Neville that she couldn't find his toad. She also talked about Harry Potter being on the train. I've heard about him, he's the boy who lived.

"Harry Potter? Coming to Hogwarts, woah. He's the same year as us." Alice said. I guess this is what my mother talked about. With Harry Potter being the same year as me, The Dark Lord may return and kill the boy, alongside with attacking the school. 

If I want to live, I need to be in Slytherin. But I don't want the dark mark.. I just hope someone else is going to get it, if I get into Slytherin.

Some time later, we were offered candy from the trolley. 

"Anything off the trolley dear?"

I bought a chocolate frog and so did Alice, and we both got Dumbledore as our cards.

Once we were off the train, we were escorted to the Hogwarts boats, which is traditionally used for first year students only. 

The little boats carried us through a curtain of ivy which hid a wide opening in the cliff face. We were carried along a dark tunnel, which seemed to be taking us right underneath the castle, until we reached a kind of under-ground harbour, where we clambered out onto the rocks.

We were finally inside the castle, greeted at the door by , who tells us that we will soon be sorted into our houses. "All Hogwarts students live in one of four residences: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin." with each house having its own team for Quidditch. The houses are in a yearlong competition with one another to acquire the most points, which are earned by success in Quidditch games and given by teachers for academic achievement and lost for student infractions, in order to win the House Cup awarded at the end of the year.

A/N: I'm having a hard time to make the events cannon since it's been so long since I last rewatched the movies, I also dont have books so some of the quotes might be based of what I remember.

I'm also doing some research when it come to the wands, potions, their lessons etc. I honestly have no idea on how I'm going to be able to word my thoughts out for this book. It's like I have an idea but I don't know how I'm going to explain it.
