Lover's Island

Chapter two.

《Rose》

 Hannah had been extremely clingy since my health scare a few months back, I couldn't blame her though. I knew she was scared because I was scared too, I thought I was going to die that night in the hospital. Right now, we were packing for our cruise that would last six months maybe longer it all depended, I came upstairs and seen Hannah on the bed looking at a picture frame a sad look on her face. "Darlin?" I said softly sitting next to her, she sniffled and hummed "mhmmm?" I tilted her chin up with my finger and seen her puffy emerald, green eyes were red rimmed from crying, "What's got you so upset darlin?" She glanced down at the picture and whispered "I miss my babies..." I looked at the picture, it was her and her niece and nephew at the beach. I rubbed her back and kissed her temple, she leaned into me as I whispered, "Do you want to go see them today before we leave sweetheart?" She nodded against my chest and whispered "Please..." so that's what we set out to do. 

We finished packing and then we left to go see her niece Kiley and her nephew Kaden, the kids seen their aunt they squealed "auntie!!!" She smiled and kneeled down and opened her arms as the kids crashed into her. I stood back and smiled watching them interact with each other, the kids seen me and ran and hugged me as well. I hugged them back before kissing Hannah's head, she smiled and whispered "Thank you for letting me see them" I held her close as we walked back to our car to leave for our cruise "You're welcome princess" she grinned as I opened her door for her allowing her to get in. I loved this woman with everything I had.We were on our flight to Florida, Hannah had her head on my shoulder tracing over the tattoos on my hands and arms. I kissed her head gently before squeezing her hand as I let my eyes close feeling safe and comfortable with my wife next to me.

 I dozed off periodically waking up to check on Hannah, I woke up around ten pm and seen Hannah on her laptop typing an email I leaned my head on her shoulder before kissing her neck lightly "Work email darlin?" She hummed "Pro Bono case I took on a bit ago angel, but since we're going to be away for a little bit i passed the case onto Alec" I hummed in response kissing behind her ear, Alec was Hannah's partner in her law firm. She shut her laptop and leaned her head back, as I placed a few more kisses along her neck and shoulder before leaving a subtle bite mark on her neck. She squeezed my thigh before whispering "Easy angel you're playing with fire" I grinned but backed down...for now.
