With Ran's assistance, I made my way into the shower and experienced a refreshing cleanse, washing away the remnants of last night's events and feeling my body begin to rejuvenate.
The hot water cascaded over my body, its heat enveloping my tired muscles and soothing the soreness in my legs. The tension that had been coiled within me started to release as the warm water washed away the exhaustion and stress.
After finishing my shower, I donned Ran's oversized shirt and the clean underwear he had washed for me, feeling significantly refreshed. I made my way downstairs to his kitchen, where I found Ran preparing breakfast.
As I walked into the kitchen, my legs still shaky from the previous night's activities, I couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed by my unsteady gait. There was no denying what had happened between Ran and me, and the aftermath was painfully apparent.
I gingerly took a seat on one of the bar stools at the kitchen counter, making sure to support myself with my hands as I slowly lowered myself onto the seat. My legs still felt like jelly, and I was thankful for the chance to rest.
As I watched Ran move around the kitchen, making breakfast with practiced ease, I couldn't help but admire his attractiveness. The combination of his skill in preparing food and the natural grace with which he moved made him even more appealing to me.
With a final touch, Ran finished preparing breakfast, placing a plate in front of me that was adorned with fried rice, a perfectly cooked egg, and crispy bacon. The simple yet mouth-watering combination instantly made my stomach growl, and I realized how hungry I was after the events of the night before.
To top it off, Ran had even prepared a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, placing it alongside my breakfast. The color of the vibrant orange juice was bright and inviting, a perfect accompaniment to the savory fried rice and bacon.
I couldn't resist diving into the breakfast Ran had prepared for me, the delicious aromas of the fried rice, egg, and bacon wafting up to my nostrils. With a mix of hunger and anticipation, I took a bite, relishing the delightful flavors that danced on my tongue.
As I indulged in the delicious meal, I could feel Ran's gaze on me, watching me intently while he enjoyed his own serving of crispy bacon. There was something almost endearing about how he observed me, his eyes following each bite I took.
I glanced up at Ran, who had been watching me eat with an amused expression. Wanting to include him, I gestured towards my plate and invited, "Want some?" My voice was soft as I offered him a taste of my breakfast.
He didn't hesitate to accept my offer, closing the distance between us and leaning on the counter nearest to me. With a casual motion, he reached out to take a bite from my plate, his mouth wrapping around the food as he tasted my breakfast.
After taking a bite, Ran withdrew his fork, a smile playing at the corner of his lips. He commented, "I cook really good," his tone implying slight pride in his own culinary skills.
As I finished off the last bite of my breakfast, Ran's voice interrupted my thoughts. He suddenly inquired, "Don't you think your parents are wondering where you are by now?"
The question about my parents sent a pang through my chest, knowing that I had run away from them. But deep down, I knew that escaping their overbearing presence was the best decision I could have made for myself.
I paused for a moment, gathering the courage to admit the truth. "Well... um, I ran away from home three weeks ago," I confessed, feeling a mix of guilt and relief at finally revealing my situation to Ran.
