Clara Bennett seems to have it all. As captain of the cheerleading team and admired by nearly everyone at Midtown High, she is the quintessential golden girl. Her life, from the outside, seems perfect. But beneath her bubbly exterior, Clara often feels like a stranger in her own life, surrounded by people who barely know the real her.
Meanwhile, Peter Parker has quietly admired Clara from afar for as long as he can remember. Once close friends in kindergarten, they drifted apart, each drawn into different worlds as their lives took different paths. But despite the years and distance between them, Peter's feelings for Clara never faded. He watched her from the sidelines, content to let her live in a world he didn't quite fit into.
Everything changes the night Spider-Man saves Clara for the first time. And it doesn't stop there. Time and time again, he seems to appear just when she needs him the most.
