Whenever he wasn't given a mission, he would meditate or train to master his martial arts and combat. After only 7 months everyone that survived the Final Selection became Hashiras. This includes Giyu, Sabito, Rengoku, Shinobu, Mitsuri, and Obanai. Izuku also became a Hashira. Giyu and Sabito both share the title of water Hashira as they are both equal in strength. Shinobu became the insect Hashira and requested for a haori to be made similar to her older sister, Kanae. Mitsuri became the love Hashira after training with Rengoku. Speaking of Rengoku, he became the Flame Hashira. Kanae the Flower Hashira brought her and Shinobu's new sister Kanao. The Kocho introduced her to Izuku which was kinda awkward since she didn't have any emotions. But Izuku welcomes Kanao and helps her bring her emotions back which Kanae and Shinobu appreciate. For a while, Kanao was to get some of her emotions back and also looked up to Izuku like a brother figure. Makomo didn't become a Hashira, but she still helps and supports the Hashira and is dating Sabito. Gyomei is still the oldest of the pillars and is the second strongest. Muichiro is still the Mist Hashira and has the same origin as in cannon. Obanai is the Serpent Hashira and always trying to be on Mitsuri's good side. Sanemi is still the Wind Hashira and is also trying to be on Kanae's good side. As for Izuku, he became the Hashira, being called the Martial Arts Hashira, and is the strongest among the other Hashiras. Sanemi, Obanai, and Regoku view Izuku as their rival since he fights with using any breathing styles.
We go to Izuku meditating outside and on the roof. As he was meditating, he thought about everything that had happened in the last few years. (He's 15 for now). This is when his crow landed on his shoulder.
(I)Crow: Caw! Caw! Izuku Midoryia, you have an important mission with Oyakata-sama! You will also be with Giyu Tomioka and Shinobu Kocho.
Izuku: Then I'll be on my way.
The scene changes to the Demon Slayer Crops where we see Kagaya Ubuyashiki petting a crow while Giyu, Shinobu, and Izuku are behind him.
Kagaya: You did well to return. It would appear that... most of my children have been killed. We may very well find the twelve Kizuki there. It would seem I'll have to send in some Hashira. Giyu... Shinobu... and Izuku...
All three: Understood.
Shinobu: If only humans and demons could get along with each other. Wouldn't you two agree?
Giyu: That's a pipe dream, as long as demons hunt us.
Izuku: You just may not know.

Izuku, Giyu, and Shinobu arrived at Mount Natagumo and headed inside the forest.
Izuku: So this is Mount Natagumo.
Shinobu: From what Oyakata-sama said, many demon slayers are getting killed on this mountain.
Izuku: Then let's go then. The more we waste time, the less we're unable to save lives.
