Proposal

"I know I know! I just don't understand what it means..." the teal troll fiddled with the object in his hand. Usually, he would treasure every gift his girlfriend gave him, and he would do the same for this one. But he couldn't figure out how to use it- a pretty pink metal slab with random ridges at the end big enough to fit in his palm.

"Relax B, it's alright if you don't know what it means or-or why she have it to you. Just live in the moment." John Dory tried consoling his overthinking brother but it just added to his confusion.

"Not helpful JD." Bruce said sharply. "It's not that big of a deal Branch. Maybe it's a gemstone? You could always just ask her if you'd like."

He sighed. "You're right, there are other things to worry about. Besides, Poppy's giving me a treasure hunt as a second gift." Branch smiled at her sweetness.

Lately, the pop queen had just left abruptly for sometime during their hangouts. Some royal thing, he thought. Regardless he loved her to bits.

Branch's brothers realized he was wearing that 'Shut up I'm thinking about my girlfriend' face he made atleast once per every interaction, and realized it was gonna happen soon.

The pink troll had informed them to keep Branch off any ideas so it'd be a surprise. She'd been wanting to pop the question for a while now. They'd talked about marriage before and both had similar interests at heart.

"Oh yeah!" Clay chimed in, unusually loud. "Speaking of Poppy, shouldn't she and Floyd be done now?" He added glancing around.

"You wanna what!?" Floyd was dumbfounded, but just from the shock.

"I know! I told everyone else a moment ago. It already feels nerve wrecking! But I really do Floyd I really do.." she paused to take a breath. "Branch has been there for me since forever and everyday i just fall for him all over again. What do you think?"

She prepared for the worst case scenario, and met his gaze. Luckily, he was overjoyed.

Just the thought of his baby brother and friend getting married sent him to almost tears. "Oh my GOSH. I know he'll say yes Poppy! And don't worry, everything'll go fine." He assured her softly.

The pink haired troll knew this would be scary for Poppy, her expression more worried than he'd ever seen her.

"I've seen the way he looks at you. There's no chance he won't say yes. Even if he does, I'm sure he'll let you down gently"

Luckily Floyd's soothing words had an effect on her and after a few minutes of consoling, they heard Clay obviously giving them their cue to come out.

The pink troll came out in a silk green dress and an updo with a butterfly pin. "Sorry we're late, just lost my bag again heh..." she trailed off, trying not to look too deep into Branch's awestruck grin. Or how stunning he looked in his deep green tux.

"Well I guess we should get going now." She shot the other trolls a look that was met with luck and thumbs ups and the duo left the bunker.

"Get excited Branch! We're here!" The teal troll smiled and took in the calming forest. The perfect mix of nature, beauty, serenity and excellent hiding places.

"Woah. You sure know how to pick good places." The pop queen smiled, reaching into her bag to pull out the first clue. "Here, I've already hidden the rest beforehand, so get sluething. You're gonna love it!"
