As the seasons change, Ollie faces new challenges. The cold winter months bring a struggle for warmth and food, prompting him to seek out cozy spots near heating vents and to rely on the kindness of strangers who leave out food for him. Despite the hardships, Ollie's resilience shines through, and he continues to adapt to his environment, finding joy in the little things—a sunny patch on the ground, a friendly face, or a tasty morsel left behind. Jimmy is Ollie's closest friend, and their bond is built on years of shared experiences and mutual support. They met in elementary school, where they quickly discovered their common interests in video games, sports, and comic books. Over the years, they have navigated the ups and downs of life together, from celebrating each other's successes to providing comfort during tough times. In times of trouble, Ollie knows he can count on Jimmy to lend a listening ear or offer advice. Likewise, Jimmy values Ollie's loyalty and encouragement, which have helped him overcome challenges in his own life.

In the town of Oxton, Ollie stood, ruffled and disheveled. Stranded without money or a way to return home, his walk through Oxton's streets drew the townspeople's eyes. Their whispers and pointing fingers only intensified his sense of alienation. His stroll through the town attracted the attention of the locals, who paused in their conversations to cast curious glances in his direction. Some whispered to one another, their eyes darting toward him with a mix of concern and judgment. Others pointed subtly, their gestures a silent commentary on his disheveled appearance. Ollie could feel their eyes on him, scrutinizing him as if he were an exhibit in a museum, and their murmurs and gestures heightened his feeling of isolation. He quickened his pace, hoping to escape their gaze, but the more he tried to blend in, the more he felt like an outsider. The vibrant life of Oxton continued around him, but he was trapped in a bubble of loneliness, a stark reminder of his current state. Each step felt heavier than the last, as if the weight of his circumstances was pressing down on him, making it harder to breathe. As he wandered aimlessly, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was a puzzle piece that didn't quite fit, a solitary figure in a town that thrived on community and connection. The laughter and warmth of Oxton felt like a distant memory, and all he could think about was how he had ended up here, lost and alone, with no clear path back to the life he once knew.
Looking around, his gaze abruptly landed on Duncan, and his tail twitched anxiously, fearful of what Duncan might do if he noticed him. The air around him seemed to thicken with tension, each heartbeat echoing in his ears like a distant drum. He could feel the weight of Duncan's presence, a looming shadow that sent shivers down his spine. Duncan was known for his unpredictable nature, and the last thing he wanted was to draw attention to himself. Memories of past encounters flooded his mind—moments when Duncan's temper had flared, leaving chaos in its wake. He could almost hear the laughter of their peers, the way they had watched with a mix of amusement and horror as Duncan unleashed his wrath on anyone who dared to cross him. He shifted his weight, trying to blend into the background, hoping that the shadows would swallow him whole. The vibrant colors of the world seemed to fade into a dull blur as he focused solely on Duncan, who was now engaged in a conversation with a group of friends, his laughter booming and infectious. But beneath that jovial exterior lay a simmering intensity that made him uneasy. What if Duncan turned around? What if he caught sight of him lurking there, hidden but not invisible? The thought sent a fresh wave of anxiety coursing through him, and he instinctively curled his tail tighter around his legs, as if it could somehow shield him from Duncan's gaze. He knew he had to remain inconspicuous, to avoid any interaction that could spiral out of control.

(author notes)

Hi everyone, I wanted to let you know that my fanfiction will be delayed due to school commitments. As a 15-year-old, my priority is to focus on my studies. I will work on this, but barely.
