Chapter 4: Shigure, Yuki, Kyo, and Tohru?

"Mio! There you are. I've been looking everywhere for you. Don't wander off too far, you might get lost again." Shigure suddenly appeared in front of me. He then turned around and let out a small fake gasp, as if only now he is realising that it is not only the two of us here. "Oh, hey Akito. I didn't notice you were there. I would love to stay and chat but I am running late. I have to meet my publisher and hand her the new manuscript that I was supposed to hand it a week ago but you know me, since I like to tease her, I purposely ran away whenever she came but it was long overdue so I gotta give it to her now. See you later!" He said cheerfully and turned my body to head to the main gate. But before we manage to take even one step, Akito's voice breaks the silence. "What a shame. I was just thinking of having a chat with Mio. It has been a while since I last saw her. How long has it been, 4 years? I thought that maybe she would like to catch up. There's a lot of things that have happened in the past 4 years. I am sure there are some things that she would like to know about, right Mio? Or maybe perhaps, there is someone you would like to meet? Perhaps Hat-" Before Akito manages to finish his sentence, Shigure cuts almost immediately with a cold voice. "Stop it Akito. There is no need for you to do this." Akito looks straight ahead to Shigure with an arrogant look on his face. "Oh, really? And why is that, I wonder?" He asked. "I am sure you know very well. There is no need for me to explain why. Now please, we really need to go. I will visit you when I have the time. Let's go Mio. I'm sure you're really tired." Shigure drags me by my hand to the main gate. I could hear Akito's voice faintly at the back, saying, "I wonder how Hatori will react when he sees her again after all these years believing that he will never be able to see her again." He then let out a small sarcastic chuckle. What does he mean by that?

Shigure is driving and while he tries his best to act cool, I can literally feel the tension. The vibe is totally different compared to when he picked me up from the airport. What is going on? It feels so stuffy and I decided to break the silence since I can't stand it anymore. "Hey, are you okay? Why are you suddenly being a grumpy old man? As annoying as you are usually, I prefer that Shigure over this Shigure. Honest" I poked him slightly a couple times, a habit of mine ever since we were young and something that I always do to him whenever he is in a bad mood. He looks at me slightly before smiling, Okay, it's working. "I'll have you know..." He trails off. He stops the car because of the red light and before I knew it, he ruffles my hair and when he is done, I can barely see anything anymore due to my hair being messy. "We are only four years apart, so stop calling me an old man." He chuckles. I huffed. "You are still older soooo." I don't care, I still wanna win. When he leans forward to ruffle my hair again, I quickly move away so that he won't get the chance, "Do that again and I'll cut your hand off." I say while smoothing my hair. It's already bad enough that I didn't have a hair brush in my bag. "Can't help it though. You are my cute little sister after all." I smirked. "Aren't I your girlfriend? It's nauseating how quickly you are over me." I stuck out my tongue to him. "Shigure holds up his hands. "If you want to be my girlfriend just say so. I am very aware of how popular I am. All you have to do is ask me and I am all yours" I make gagging sounds. I feel like throwing up all of a sudden. "No thank you. I'll pass" I answered quickly. Time to put an end to this nonsense. "Aww, come on. Don't be shy. I am FULLY aware that I am very desirable and not to mention good looking as well." Shigure being Shigure, he wouldn't let it end that easily. I should've known. He swiped his hair that was falling on his forehead, no doubt an attempt to try and look sexy. "Yeah, and humble too." He laughed loudly. I smiled. Well, at the very least he is back to being himself again and I am so glad about that. Even if he is being twenty times more annoying than usual right now. The traffic light turned green and Shigure shifted the gear and began to drive. Time to head home.

                                                                                 

Twenty minutes later, we arrived at Shigure's house safely. Finally. I can see the tub filled with warm water and my soft bed waiting for me. Shigure opened his trunk and helped me with carrying some of my stuff. The rest will be continued by both Kyo and Yuki. Some complaints will be received for sure, but I know that they will still help me. They both are really good boys after all. Before I was able to knock on the door, it opened swiftly, revealing a cute girl with long straight brown hair. "Welcome home, Shi-. Oh? Who are you, may I ask?" She looks at me with a confused look on her face. But before I could answer, she quickly answered her own question just now. "Oh, are you perhaps Mio-san? Hello! It is so nice to finally meet you! My name is Tohru Honda, a classmate of both Yuki-kun and Kyo-kun. Shigure-san told me about you" She smiled so brightly at me that I might go blind. I suddenly remembered that Shigure told me before that a classmate of both Yuki and Kyo are living together with all three of them. So, this is her. I chuckled lightly and smiled back at her. "Nice to meet you Tohru-chan."
