Kaliyah rolled over to the much colder side of her queen sized bed just as her alarm went off. Grabbing her phone to turn off the slightly annoying ringer, Kaliyah rolled back in the comfortable spot hoping to get some more rest.
However, the sunlight that peeled through her shimmering pink curtains had beamed directly onto her beautiful cocoa colored face indicating that she needed to get up and start her day.
Removing the plush fabric from her body, Kaliyah slipped her feet into her Hello Kitty slippers before traveling to her bathroom. Just as she began washing her face, her phone vibrated against the marble counter earning a faint sigh from the young woman.
Unlocking her phone with the face recognition, she swiped down to her notifications to see that she had a massage appointment with her favorite masseuse, Doctor Patrice Lattimore.
Since Kaliyah was always on her feet and moving her body at her very strenuous job as a preschool schoolteacher, massages were a vital element in her life. Checking the time as it read 9:15am, Kaliyah felt relief that she decided to get out the bed given that her appointment was scheduled for 10:30am leaving her ample time to get dressed since she loved taking her sweet time.
Once she finished with her hygiene routine and dressing herself, she made sure to take one more glance in the mirror before leaving. Even though she was clothed in a simple jogger set and crocs, Kaliyah was firm about looking good at all times. Her bare face was unmatched for a girl who couldn't live without makeup. The only thing she added today was mink lashes and Fenty lipgloss.
Kaliyah made her a quick breakfast that consisted of eggs and a bagel before heading out her apartment complex to retrieve her 2023 Dodge Hornet. Hopping onto the main highway, Kaliyah decided to send a quick text to her group chat that contained her three closest friends from high school to see if they wanted to grab lunch together after her appointment.
After receiving a confirmation text from all three ladies, Kaliyah continued her journey to her destination before pulling up to the place twenty minutes later. She parked in the designated spot before hopping out the car and locking her doors.
Entering the small but alluring building was always like a breath of fresh air for Kaliyah. The sounds of the soft jazz music playing in the background and the water trickling from the fountain that was displayed by the main entrance was very pleasing and relaxing to the customers.
Kaliyah made her way to the front desk and was greeted by the woman who gave her a polite and welcoming smile. "Good morning, and welcome to Gentle Touches. How can I assist you today?" The middle aged woman asked looking up at Kaliyah.
