THE NEXT DAY AT THE STATION, EVELYN WAS keeping to herself. She knew if she'd talk to people, they'd ask if she'd had anymore calls. She hadn't but she knew it was only a matter of time.Evelyn had zoned the talking people out, her headphones on as she listened to music, not a care in the world as she did so.
Evelyn did in fact notice Athena walk up and she waved to her with a smile, getting them both back. Athena walked over to Bobby and slowly kissed to which Evelyn smirked.
"Hey dad." Evelyn smiled, taking her headphones off, "Pay up."
Evelyn held out her hand and Buck sighed walking over to his daughter and handing her a fifty dollar note, "Thank you."
"You too?" Athena smiled at the young one who nodded proudly.
When Bobby and Athena walked away, Buck and Eddie walked over to Evelyn who smiled up at them.
"So? How you doing?" Eddie asked the girl as he sat on one of the sofa seats, Evelyn shrugged, "Oh, come on. You've got to know. You can't not know how you feel."
"I guess, I'm happy and a little scared. But... relieved since I haven't had any calls." Evelyn smiled and Eddie nodded.
"Well, no calls are a good thing." Eddie chuckled.
"You can say that again." Buck laughed, lifting his daughters legs and sitting down, the placing her legs on his lap so she could continue lying down.
Almost on cue, Evelyn's phone went off. It wasn't a call, it was a message from the same number that had been calling her.
Evelyn opened the message, it was a picture, a picture of Evelyn getting changed in her room. Evelyn gagged at the thought of someone watching her, she shot ip and off the couch, leaving her phone open on the couch as she ran to the bathroom.
As soon as Evelyn made it to the bathroom she kneeled over the toilet, throwing up. She didn't understand how someone could get a photo of her, the only thing at Evelyn's window was trees.
Evelyn flushed the toilet before she leaned against the stall's wall, hugging her knees to her chest as the image ran through her mind. Someone was watching her get changed, watching her who knows when.
It scared her.
After a few more minutes of sitting there, Evelyn slowly walked out of the stall and washed her mouth with water before leaving the bathroom.
She walked back up to where her dad and Eddie were to find Buck staring at the photo that someone took. He was angry as he clutched onto the phone for dear life. It scared him to know that someone was watching his daughter.
"Dad?" Evelyn spoke softly, taking her phone from her dad's hands.
"We're going to go home." Buck said softly, looking at his team, "We just need to be home right now."
"Go." Bobby nodded.
Buck stood up, handing his daughter's headphones to her before walking down the stairs, Evelyn following him.
When they got home, Maddie was sat on the couch, fiddling with her hands. Evelyn walked over to her, noticing the suitcase at the corner of the room, "Are you leaving?"
Maddie nodded, "Road ahead awaits."
"Evie." Buck spoke softly, "I need to have a chat with your Aunty, okay? Get your pyjamas and sleep in my room."
Evelyn nodded, walking out of the living room. She quickly went into her room, grabbing her chargers, pyjamas and Teddy before heading into Bucks room and getting changed.
She crawled into bed, keeping the bedside lamp on to make sure she could see what was around her. And not long after, she fell asleep.
