"Dee!" Sid cried, his voice full of anger and hate.
Dee turned.
Sid stood a few steps behind him, his rifle aimed right at Dee's head.
"Sid, what are you doing?" Dee said, scared and confused.
"Getting rid of you, that's what." Sid responded, his tone serious.
Dee searched Sid's eyes for any kind of reason or anything that said he wouldn't really do it, but before he could, sid pulled the trigger.

(Sid's pov)

I dropped the gun and looked at my hands in disbelief. I had killed my best friend. I stared at him on the ground, my eyes welling up with tears.
"I... I hurt him. I killed him." I whispered. I grabbed his cold, pale hand and held it.

I heard footsteps approaching.

"WHO'S THERE?" I yell, jumping up still shaken up from what just happened.
"It's fine! We're on your side!"
I hear someone with a southern accent yell. The figure steps out of the shadows to reveal a man who looked in his mid-twenties. He had brown hair, green eyes, and pale skin. "The names Jamie."
He said, holding out his hand for me to shake. I reluctantly shook it and forced a smile. "My name's Sid."
I said. Jamie glanced at dee.
"What happened to him?" He said, walking over to Dee.
What am I going to tell him?  I thought. I then came up with a plan. "A kraut sniper got him," I said. "He got away before I could shoot him."

(Later that night..)
(Third person pov)
Sid was exaughsted from fighting all day. He decided to just go to sleep. He laid down and quickly drifted off to sleep.
He woke up in a empty black void. This must be my dream. Sid thought. He tried to step forward but quickly realized he was frozen in place. In front of him he saw his best friend, Dee Carpenter.
"That's low, sid. Real low."
"What is?"
"The fact that you killed me and lied about it. I thought we were friends!"
"Yeah, we WERE friends, then I found out you lied about everything. Your nationality, your loyalty to our country-"
"Shut up. Seriously shut up. Is that all you do? Talk?"
Sid stopped talking.
"Thanks. Now, here's our deal. You give me your soul and I'll let you go to heaven scotch free. Easy, right?"
"No way!"
"Looks like we're doing this the hard way."
"Huh?"
Before he could get a response out of dee, he woke up.
"That was crazy." Sid muttered to himself.
