We had now been living together for a month or twoI woke up to the sun shining through the curtains. The boy beside me was still asleep so I thought not to bother him.
I got up and went to make breakfast for both of us. While waiting for the water to boil, I went to the small balcony to grab some of the morning breeze.
While enjoying the cold wind and the shining sun, Jungwoo had woken up already. He had quietly snuck behind my back, tightly wrapped his arms around me and placed a soft kiss on my neck, causing me to startle a bit.
"Good morning my beautiful boyfriend." I said quietly.
"Boyfriend. I like that word. You're my boyfriend and I'm your boyfriend. Damn." Jungwoo started blabbering right away.
"I would love to stay here and listen to your endless talking but we have school today." I told him and he hesitantly let go.
We went back inside to eat and get ready for school. I was failing really badly and I really wanted to start to focus on school now, just so that I'll have a chance for a better future.

Hand in hand, we walked to our first class together. We we're a bit early so there was only Johnny, Yuta, Mark and two other students.
"Good mor- what are my eyes seeing?" Johnny was about to greet us but instead cut his own sentence and pointed at our hands.
"I knew it, just had to wait for it to happen." Mark stated and Yuta just nodded as an agreement.
"Wait so what? Since when and how come I know nothing?" Johnny was confused.
We just sat down while Jungwoo had to explain everything step by step to the older boy who had no idea about anything.
"Wait cause that's so cute actually. When is it my turn though?" Johnny wiped his fake tears while Jungwoo just sighed and turned back to me.
"I have two hours longer than you today so I'll give you the key so you don't need to wait for me." Jungwoo said and handed me the keys. I just nodded and smiled since the teacher had already entered the classroom.

I said my goodbyes to the younger boy and left the school building. I decided to go to the store to pick up some dinner for today.
I went to the closest grocery store and took everything I needed such as chicken, ramen, veggies and some drinks.
While walking towards the checkout, a very familiar female voice called my name from behind. A voice I did not expect or want to hear.
"Doyoung? Is it you?" She asked carefully and I turned to face her. My mom.
"Oh my." First time ever I saw tears forming into her eyes.
"I don't have anything to say to you." I said to her and was about to turn around to walk away.
"No please, let me just say something. I'll make it quick." She sounded desperate. What had gotten into her?
"After I woke up that day, the social workers and doctors told me everything. I've never felt so much guilt before and I wanted to apologize. I haven't been the best mother to you. I know you don't want to talk to me but I just wanted to let you know that I'm now on medication and going to therapy. Please, unblock my number when you're ready and call so I can talk to you more. And say thank you to that boy who helped you that day." She was pretty much crying. I couldn't care less. I did not feel bad for someone like her.
"Okay, if that's all I'm leaving. And I'll say thank you to my boyfriend." I replied and went to the checkout, leaving the woman there.

I came home and started to make dinner as the shopping took a little longer than I expected it to.
The whole scenario at the store was bothering me. Why was she there anyway, shouldn't she be locked up or something? And no I will not be unblocking her anytime soon. But why was I starting to feel guilty about how I had just walked away?
While letting the soup brew, Jungwoo came home. He looked really tired from the long school day. I instantly went to hug him.
"Food's ready in a couple of minutes." I told him as he just nodded as an answer. He threw himself on the bed and let out a long sigh.
"Long day?" I asked while setting the table ready.
"Yeah, I can't wait to graduate and get to do real work and not to rot in a class." He replied and took a seat from the other side of the table.
I went over to him and massaged his shoulders to make him feel better. He turned to look at me and was about to say something but just smiled instead.
While eating, I told Jungwoo everything that happened at the store and everything she had said.
"Oh god, are you alright? Why is she even out there?" He asked, stopped eating and looked at me worried.
"I don't know how to feel honestly. Part of me felt bad for being rude but then again, everything she has done to me just keeps popping up in my mind." I answered honestly.
"Just know that you haven't done anything wrong. You don't need to feel bad for a person who never did for you. You don't need to unblock her number or even think about her, just do what feels best for you." The blonde boy comforted and continued eating. I just smiled like an idiot. How does he have such comforting and wise words?

We spent the whole night watching some series and listening to the rain while cuddling in bed.
We were simple people. Who needs those fancy dates when you can just be home and spend time, lying in bed with the one you love?
