jack laid on the couch, holding out luke's phone. the video started on grace's tweet that he had pulled up. then, it panned over to quinn, xbox controller in hand.
"dude. what do you think of this?" jack's voice appeared, the video panning up to quinn's face. it took quinn a second to turn, his eyes squinting as he read what jack was holding out to him. it took him a second, but slowly a smile formed on his face.
"i'm not doing that." the man breathed, falling back into his spot on the couch. jack placed luke's phone down, double tapping the screen so it would turn around. he gave the camera a disappointed face, before tapping the record button again to stop the video and send it to grace.
grace opened jack's snap as it came through. she sipped on her coffee, watching quinn intently. how dare he not agree to her wonderful idea. placing her iced coffee down, she double tapped on jack's name.
"jack, please tell quinn that if he doesn't...the ghosts of everyone who has ever died in crocs are coming for him." grace said, trying to hold back a laugh. when she was satisfied, she sent the video to jack.
when jack opened the video from grace, he laughed. since quinn was sitting right next to him, he could hear the girl's voice. a smile crept it's way onto quinn's face as he listened to the words. jack opened his snapchat camera, handing the phone to quinn who paused his nhl 23 game. "listen..." quinn trailed off, glancing at jack as if asking for her name.
"grace," jack whispered.
"grace." quinn repeated looking back at the camera. "it just cant happen. you get on the ice with those bad boys and prove it can and i'll think about it."
and with that, quinn went to send it. graceteller. he noted the snapchat username, pulling out his own phone and opening up snapchat. jack grabbed his phone back from quinn, watching his phone screen. "you adding her on snap?" jack asked.
quinn didn't look up from his phone, giving jack a shrug. "no. i mean, not yet i guess. i just wanted to see what she looks like." he explained. his thumb swiped up on the screen, closing snapchat and replacing it with instagram pretty quick.
of course he was going to add her on snapchat. quinn just didn't need jack getting a hold of that information. ever since he had broken up with his former girlfriend, olivia, his brothers had been nothing short of pestering him everytime he looked in a woman's direction. it didn't take long for him to find grace's instagram. he scrolled through it for a second, before shutting his phone off and picking up the xbox controller once again.
jack waited, expecting more from his older brother. when a couple minutes passed, and quinn didn't make another move to pick up his phone, jack sighed and went back to his own phone.
what jack didn't know, was the moment he left, quinn hughes would be adding grace teller on snapchat.
